I assume form your post that you are using the TKL PDC?

Have you read/tried the Quick start guide in the TKL documentation? (Please note the link to the tutorial in the documentation is dead - hoping for an updated one).

First thing I'd probably check is networking (by default VBox uses NAT which is painful, bridged is easier in this usage scenario). Beyond that I need some more details about what you've tried and what errors you are getting.
