simple CRON command to backup www

is there any simple way to back up /var/www to a speciifed location? i already set up mysql to backup wit hcron. any equivalent for www? THANSK!

Why not use TKLBAM?

Have a look at TKLBAM if you haven't already (documentation here). It can take care of your MySQL database too.

If for some reason you don't want to use TKLBAM then rsync is probably a good utility to use.
