Hi,
First of all thank you so so much for creating Turnkey Linux, I have used it a lot.
I have installed and have been using for a while Mindtouch from turnkey Linux with version 10.0.2 of Mindtouch.
How do I upgrade to the latest version of Mindtouch which is 10.1.0?
Command line doesn't bother me just fyi.
Thank you for helping me doing that.
Regards,
Yael
Forum:
I am unfamiliar with Mindtouch
But it should be fairly straightforward. TKL v11.x is based on Ubuntu 10.04/Lucid and in this instance the app is installed from upstream so hopefully there may some info on their wesite (wiki? forums? mailing list? some other support resources) detailing how you would upgrade to a newer version.
It'd be great if you could take some notes and share with us what you find as its quite possible others may seek a similar solution at some point.
Actually I find out how to do
Actually I find out how to do it by following this site:
http://developer.mindtouch.com/en/docs/mindtouch_setup/010Installation/050Installing_on_Ubuntu
So open a Terminal in root on your Virtual Machine.
Type nano /etc/apt/sources.list.d/sources.list
Add deb http://repo.mindtouch.com xUbuntu_10.04
Press Ctrl-X then Y to save and quit
Type apt-get update
Finally type apt-get install mindtouch
No need to restart and I haven't lost any data when doing my update to Mindtouch 10.1.0.
Fantastic
Thanks for posting back. That sounds nice and easy. Perhaps the devs will include the Mindtouch repo in the maintenace update of the v11.x appliance so updating in future will be even easier.
