I don't follow Zimbra development closely but I know that there have been a number of changes in ownership and talk of licencing changes etc so I am not even sure how viable it even may be in the future...

FWIW there are a couple of email server type appliances on the cards (potentially - iRedMail & Citadel) but AFAIK none currently in production.

iRedMail know and quite good works.
Citadel need to know - is it more projects like iRedMail?
regarding zimbra it is paid software.
Thus, iso which is ftp can install in your company and you use it?

Although TBH I haven't used either...

Citadel seems very much focused on business/enterprise operation (I guess 'Groupware' would be a fair name for it...: http://www.citadel.org/) whereas iRedMail is more of a simple mail server...
