The short answer is very soon I hope! Although "soon" will likely be longer than any of us would like...

The longer answer is that I'm currently squirreling away behind the scenes trying to get everything in place (hence why this reply is so late). I've had a few wins over the last few days so I hope to have a TKLDev (out build tool VM) pre-release build published within the next week or 2 (fingers crossed). Functionally it should be fine - it will only be "pre-release" because of minimal testing and the possibility of sharp edges, bugs etc here and there.

Once the new TKLDev is available then I'd be happy to guide you to do your own build of Nextcloud (and/or other apps) if you'd like? Then you could help with testing and push the "official" release date forward! :)

Hi, thanks for great news. I can try to build it, why not. But bare in mind that im not any expert, but Linux noob. But it has to be started somewhere. Testing i can do no problem. Cheers!

Unfortunately the news isn't what I'd like to be reporting. :( You'd think I'd learn... I have a bad habit of both overestimating the time it will take me to do what I know needs to be done and underestimating the likelihood of other issues I haven't considered. In general I'd rather be an optimist than not, but OTOH not being able to meet the expectations that I create myself is a source of constant frustration...

Unfortunately we've hit a string of issues that have slowed things down and we're still working on some. Some of the issues and time-sinks were self-inflicted by misguided prioritization - working on important but non-urgent updates/improvements - some of which introduced new bugs. But the real killer has been a cascade of gnarly issues migrating some of our core custom software to Trixie. I've had some great progress but I'm still bogged down troubleshooting/bug-hunting. My current focus is getting the installer to install (obviously pretty important). I've just finished implementing some changes that will make debugging easier - so hopefully a break through is closer...

Anyway, the TLDR is that the updated release is (clearly) way behind schedule and I still don't have a clear or definitive ETA. I'm hopeful that we're not far away from publishing a "release candidate" - even if it still includes some non-critical bugs. Although I'd also rather not risk embarrassing myself further by making claims about how soon that might be.

Sorry I don't have better news... (For both of us).

Look, im sure whole community appreciate all efforts from past and future. At the end its free software an theres no complains which will be really valid. Thank you for update. It means a lot. We will simply wait and thats it. I just wish i have knowledge to help. Wish you all the best, and again thanks for all! Cheers!
