Not trying to be mean

I was not trying to be mean.  I have not yet tried to use tklpatch and did not know if you found the instructions page.  I wish I could be more helpful, but I am new to TKL and trying to learn too!

There's always room for improvement

Perhaps with the insight from people like Bino who were confused by the documentation we could improve it.

Often with these sorts of thing it can be difficult to get your bearings at first. The key is to experiment. Try making a tiny proof of concept change and work up towards larger changes.

Also, remember that there is a reference example patch for you to examine and play with in /usr/share/tklpatch/examples.
