Cannot build core as written in tutorial

Forum:

Hello,

I've been trying to build an appliance according to TKLDev Tutorial , but I always get errors. I'm using TKLDev 15.0, since the 16.0 version cannot be downloaded (404 - not found).

Appliance is connected to the internet and bootstrap/cdroots/common are downloaded. I tried the following commands with both updating the appliance first and not updating it. After running:

Let's Encrypt and Reverse Proxy: Does the Proxy need a cert as well?

Forum:

Because I plan to have several TKL WP Appliances running behind a firewall, I plan to have a reverse Proxy server stand between the WP appliances and the firewall.  All port 80 and 443 traffic will be forwarded from the firewall to the Reverse Proxy and the Reverse Proxy will figure out which WP appliance the traffic is to be, in turn, redirected to.

Question:  Does the Reverse Proxy also need to have an SSL Certificate?

Let's Encrypt basic question for cert generation

Forum:

Thanks to TKL for simplifying the rather complicated setup of SSL on webservers.  I'm running V15.3 of the TKL Wordpress Appliance ISO:  turnkey-wordpress-15.3-stretch-amd64.iso

I read this doc on the Let's Encryption procedure:

https://www.turnkeylinux.org/docs/confconsole/letsencrypt

And I noted this warning:

TurnKey LXC

Forum:

I am unable to connect my containers to the network, please note that this are my first steps with LXC and I may have ommited something, so please feel free to point it out if you find it (in fact, please do it).

I have downloaded the turnkey-lxc-15.1-stretch-amd64.ova (several times actually, in several computers) and imported it to Virtualbox (for Windows, Versión 6.0.18 r136238 (Qt5.6.2), for freebsd 12.1 virtualbox version 5.2.34) and ESXI 5.5 and 6.7, in all cases using bridged network, the results are the same, as follows...

Wordpress behind HAProxy

Forum:

Hello there,

I've dowloaded qnd installed a Turnkey VM with Wordpress installed. It works fine locally.

I have a HAProxy that allows some applications to be visible from the internet. It works fine too.

But when I add the Wordpress (80/443), it doesn't work (Bad Request). Webmin, Adminer & WebShell works well.

I've spend the last days searching & experimenting, but, without any luck.

Can someone please help me? I'm starting to loose my mind on this!

Thanks,

Tyrell66

Canvas - RCE Server (Files Tab Greyed Out)

Forum:

The files tab is greyed out in Canvas RCE, and it appears that Turnkey Linux does not come bundled with the RCE server. Therefore, no teachers can upload files into their assignments. The issue is identical to the one posted on Bitnami's forum: https://community.bitnami.com/t/rich-content-editor-and-passenger/70780/4

Is there any proposed date on this solution?

[Solved] Postfix error: SASL authentication failure: No worthy mechs found

Forum:

I'm posting my fix for others to see in case this affects them too.  Note:  I'm a Linux noob and thus I had trouble with this far too long last night.  (My 1st post here.)

Appliance:  Turnkey Linux Wordpress

Problem:  couldn't send email using the built-in Postfix server.  (I used a free account with the built-in "SendInBlue" service).

mail.log contained this phrase:  "SASL authentication failure: No worthy mechs found"

Issue:  libsasl2-modules was either missing or out of date in the appliance.
