So I'm using TurnKey Linux File server and I was deleting my UNIX user. When I pressed delete, I accidently pressed delete all the users files. As soon as i did this, I unplugged and turned off the server. I can't read the hard drive when I take it out and put it into another PC (I assume turnkey uses a weird file system) and when I turn the server back on, it just say there is a SMB daemon task in progress and I can't cancel it. how can I cancel this process? Is it possible for me to get my files back?
I am trying to join a FreeNAS system to a Turnkey DC. I have managed to have it connect but the idmap backend won't and I suspect it has something to do with the requirement for tls/ssl. I'm not sure exactly how I would configure that for Turnkey. Can someone please point me in the right direction?
a quick suggestion for the future: adding a keyboard selection during initial setup.
With TK Wordpress I had to type 3 different passwords: root, wp and adminer with my french keyboard and this not so easy especially with special characters.
Yes, i can install console-setup and console-data later but i need to relaunch turnkey-init...
Just getting started with HubDNS and AWS Route 53 with my own domain. I've gotten my first self-hosted server up with turnkey-core 15.0-1 and hubdns updated my ip address to route 53 with my ipv4 address. No ipv6 however. I haven't found any option to enable dynamic dns for ipv6. Is this possible with hubdns? I was really hoping it is, as the alternative is continuing to use my hacky bash scripts. Which I have been doing for the past year or so. I have done a bit of googling but not much comes up re hubdns. Any posts or other resources I may not have found yet?
I installed the turnkey LXC ova and then created some containers on NAT. When I do lxc-console -n wordpress, I get the login screen and I can login but shortly after I keep getting the login screen and get caught in a loop... Anyone else ran into this? Basically makes it worthless since I cannot edit my SSH on the container and cannot forward the ports for SSH on that container.
I am having challenges. I would like to have a library consisting of videos, audios and images. The Mixed Content library type only views audios and videos. Is there a way to add a new content type so that I will have one library with videos, audios and images as its contents?
I am trying to setup TKL Syncthing on a r720xd server running Proxmox VE 5.4-11. I have the Syncthing CT installed and running.
On the r720xd, I have a ZFS pool created, which is currently only used for TKL File Server as a NAS. All shares in TKL File Server are working great - r/w accessible by clients on the LAN.
The ZFS pool is mounted to the PVE host as /r720xd1
/r720xd1 has two subdirectories for two containers running under PVE:
Good morning, afternoon or evening to the entire turnkey Linux community.
A few days ago I was testing LAMP to install a WordPress blog, and I came up with the idea of upgrading to php 7.3 for WordPress security requirements, I have been reading on several forum sites and other web pages to upload it to php 7.3 and Do not fail in the attempt.
How update Turnkey Lamp 15.1 PHP 7 to PHP 7.3
1. Deploy LAMP VM or Physical Machine, apply updates and any stuffs.
I have Turnkey File Server up and running in a Proxmox Container. Samba shares are working without a problem - I am copying files from various Win clients on the LAN over to the Turnkey File Server shares.
Now I am trying to mount the same Turnkey File Server shares from a Debian machine. When I enter:
showmount --exports 192.168.1.100
with 192.168.1.100 being the Turnkey File Server IP, I receive:
