I'm a newbie to Turnkey and currently starting work on a Drupal 8 project where I also plan to use Let's Encrypt.

I got the LAMP stack all set up for a test and D8 installed on it but wondered if you had a rough timescale for when Turnkey 14.2 might be seeing the light as I gather that it will support both D8 and LE?

Problem

I need a private way for people to access our fileserver via a web interface and download 5gb files on unstable internet.

Possible Solution

I was thinking a torrent creator and lister attached to a fileserver that maintains a list of folders/mounts to 'track' and it creates a torrent for each folder and file when someone requests to download that file/folder via a directory listing in a web browser.

It could generate an RSS feed so we could have a turnkey box with an RSS auto downloader providing additional seeds.

Why are most of the Turnkey web based appliances based on Apache rather than nginx? (wordpress, owncloud, etc.)

Any techical reasons or just old a habit?

Apache is a heavy beast and I'd think nginx would be a better fit in lightweight Turnkey appliances.

I would definately use Turnkey more often if all those appliances came with nginx rather than apache.

WordPress 4.7 features enhanced pdf thumbnail support which is requires imagick. Fortunately its very easy to add imagick support to Turnkey Linux WordPress. Just start Webmin, go to System > Software Packages and add the php5-imagick Package from APT. Restart Apache and you're done. When adding PDF's to the Media Library thumbnails are generated.
