I am running three TKL instances in the AWS Cloud using the TKL Hub to set them up. One ios a DB server running MySQl with the preconfigured LAMP TKL instance. I cannot get the others to connect to the MySQL DB. I have tried the usual obvious things:
1) 127.0.0.1 localhost is commented out as is stop networking (my.cnf file)
2) TKL firewall is configured to allow 3306 incoming and outgoing
3) I can connect locally using mysql command line so I know the DB is running I can also use PHP MyAdmin locally.
I am brand spanking new to Turnkey and did not do the install myself. Been pressing my IT dept for months to have a local test/build site for the company website, as well as several other sites. I finally got a VM with Turnkey Linux installed and have been left to my own devices. I am not a Developer, or a System Admin, I am just a Web Designer. I am used to working with cPanel to deploy sites on externally hosted servers.
I've just successfully set up my first Amazon EC2 turnkey LAMP server after running my on VM LAMP for several years (thanks for the *great* product)!
On my own machine, I've successfully managed to make it reply to *.mydomain.dyndns.org using a dyndns.org account.
I'd like to do the same with the Amazon EC2 server. It's running perfectly as mydomain.tklapp.com, but I'm not sure where I need to setup the DNS to make it reply to *.mydomain.tklapp.com as well.
I have a Turnkey Joomla 2.5 on AWS but I've messed it up and dont have a backup up of the the first clean install How or where do I do a 'factory restore' to get it back to where it was when first installed? TKLBAM only restores user made backups.
I'm new to vTiger and I can't get the comments field to be seen or accessed by the sales profile. Admin can see it and so can Support. Under Settings> Fields Access, the comments field is also grayed out. I assume that comments will be important as the sales people update the file. Is there something I can do to make this accessible?
I have looked all over the web for an answer to this to no avail.
I have the file server appliance installed and working. It uses ajaxplorer and works well with a couple of exceptions. The most important one is the inability to upload from my phone. I have Android 4.0 ICS on a Samsung Galaxy 2 S. When I try to upload anything to either my home or storage folders I get the error:
Error while uploading file: Empty Http response
This error occurs while using either 4G or WIFI and it does not happen when using a computer.
I've created an EC2 account on Amazon, but haven't lanched an instance. The Amazon site doesn't provide a receipt for the $20 monthly charge as described in your FAQ. Where can I find one?
For the last couple of days I've been trying to clone an instance from a snapshot. I've attempted several different snapshots from different instances but all I get is the message:
Oops! Something unexpected happened
with an invitation to try again. And try try try again I have!
I have run a vBulletin forum on a shared host for a number of years. Several years ago I also assumed responsibility for a community group's web site hosted on IIS. That site is almost all static web pages updated with Notepad. As their host, Terrasite, seems to be failing, I brought the site over to my host. Now that it's on LAMP, I have a lot of free or low-cost options and am leaning toward WordPress.
