I have a access control problem. I have made a Samba file server. I can connect perfectly only everyone can access my private folder that I made.

Here is the config file:

I have made 2 samba account.

"share" and "android"

Android suposed have access to his private folder and the share (oracle) folder.

Share suposed to have only access to share (oracle) folder.

What did I wrong?

Hi, newbie question... but working with the appliance I can't set it to use DHCP so I have to configure a static IP.  What am I missing?

I'm trying to deploy the Turnkey File Server appliance, which includes the AjaXplorer file browser. The intent is to use this as a sort of private cloud proxy to file shares on our Windows file servers (which are joined to an AD infrastructure). I also need to figure out the LDAP auth, but that's a separate issue :)

Anyways, I have deployed File Server using the OVF template to an ESXi 4.1 host successfully. I am able to boot up the VM, set the passwords, login to AjaXplorer, etc. I'm also able to create repositories in AjaXplorer, setup users, and all the other expected stuff...

I'd like some help please in learning how to create DNS records using the WordPress appliance on Amazon. Here's what I'm trying to do:

We have a live server on the internet that has a small number of sites running WordPress multisite.

We need to rebuild this WordPress multisite installation, and I'm hoping to use Turnkey WordPress on Amazon as a place to build a clone of the real system which can then be migrated out to the live environment.

Let's say my parent site is parent.com and the sub-sites are subsiteA.com and subsiteB.com.

Is it possible to allocate secondary IPs through the hub for hosting multiple SSL enables sites on one server?

The AWS network interface doesnt seem to be enabled for hub-launched instances.

I have been getting HUGE mystery bandwidth spikes here and there (about 5 in total over a 2 month period). I've just verified it happened yesterday on two micro LAMP instances (extremely low traffic, development only).

It is a 4 GB in, 4 GB out spike (or slightly lower, 3.7-4.0). It occurs on the graph in the hub interface as happening in exactly the 5 minute interval on the graph (zero just before and zero just after).

This morning I saw it on the graphs for yesterday, so I started poking through some logs and found that it occurred exactly when I rebooted both servers.

Does anyone aware of an upgrade path for rails 2.3.14 on tkl/redmine 12.0 ?

Hi all,

I'm trying to figure out how to deny root from logging in through the webshell.  I love the fact that an SSH session is available right through a browser, but worry about the security of having root login so readily available to the world.

I can find ssh settings in webmin that prohibit root from logging in through an actual ssh session, but webshell seems to be a direct console type of application and it looks like it ignores those settings.  Even editing the ssh config file directly doesn't seem to affect anything related to webshell.

I've been building cusotm images for a while now and have never really come across and issues that I can work around.

However, I've come across an issue that I'm really struggling to work around and hope someone can give me a few pointers.

I need to add nfs support to an appliance I'm building, and am trying to add nfs-kernel-server and nfs-common packages. However as soon as I add either of them i hit issues.
