Once I got the .iso for joomla appliance burned to a CD, it installed right away as it wrote over and old windows PC which had a corrupted windows install.
It found all the hardware, even say a usb thumb drive that was still plugged in.
Now for some reall newbie questions. This is essentially my first linux install that I want to really use - though ideally without tinkering with it. Also, my joomla knowledge is still beginner.
Hi, i'm new to the turnkey appliances and i have an issue thats probably not even related to the appliance but i thought maybe some gurus over here could share some light on this.
I have a server consisting of several physical SCSI hard drive configured with RAID 5. I tried installing the fileserver to the hard disk by either doing a guided format or following the manual procedure and in both cases I get the following error
I have a need to get a very simple Linux system in a VM, make it as small as possible (less than 100MB) while keeping it very easy to maintain (package management). The best balance of all of these things that I've found so far seems to be TurnKey Bootstrap, but it seems to be only available in LiveCD form. Is there any way I can install it into a VM?
Thank you to everyone for such a great project. I like what you have built here together.
I have started using Tomcat on Apache Appliance. I deploy apps with success but I can't run them. When I try to open app from tomcat manager I get apache information "The requested URL /app10 was not found on this server. Apache/2.2.8 (Ubuntu) mod_jk/1.2.25 mod_ssl/2.2.8 OpenSSL/0.9.8g Server at 192.168.95.135 Port 443". Default installed apps like admin and host-manager work well.
Hi Everyone, happily just joined the forum. I'm using lamp stack v2009.10, on a virtualbox on windows xp. I'm having a problem where 2 of my php scripts (phpbb and an rss parser) are telling me that 'fsockopen' isn't enabled.
Hi, Just found your site (quite impressed) & I'm trying out the File Server Appliance. I can login ok to shell, shell in a box & eXtploer all OK but Not webmin, I'm using correct address https://192.168.2.15:21321/ but get error 102 connection refused. Any Ideas?
I am not easily overcoming my lack of understanding of TKLpatch. What I'm trying to do at this point is add Samba to the LAMP appliance. Ultimately, I'd like to also add webmin-samba.
However, when I use the example patch, Drupal5, as a model, I get nothing. More frustrating - when I use the Drupal5 patch, I'm not getting anything. I missing a step, perhaps? Do I have to download the debs manually? If so, how do I do that?
What I can do:
sftp the ISO
Extract the ISO
Chroot and tool around the ISO manually, modify usage.txt, populate var/www.
I've had moodle running on a VM for a couple of weeks now.
Today, I did an apt-get upgrade from the web shell (I've since tried it from Webmin and SSH'd into the server as well). There were three packags to upgrade, one of which was moodle. The other two worked fine. The moodle upgade failed with the following
