I just installed the new TWiki appliance behind a firewall at work. I need to turn off the email verification feature as I won't be able to access anything from behind the firewall.

I assume that this is done in the Configure section of the Admin Tools but when I select this, I am repeatedly prompted for Login/Pass. The AdminUser login works as a site login but I can't access Configure with it.

This is an out-of-the-box install with no customizations. Not much I can change if I can't access Configure.

Has anyone else run into this?

I have launched the EC2 AMI (lamp) instance using the instructions:

I am able to make a shell connection to my instance and login as a root.

However, I am not able to connect to the mysql from the shell. If I run "mysql" I get the following error message:

"ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)"

Hi everyone, i would like remove "joomla apliance" and only leave TurnkeyLinux, i tried in web administrator, in /etc/Joomla15, in /usr/share/joomla15, well i search in all i can but i dont know where its possible change that.

If someone may explain me i will apreciated.

How to force recreation of the SSH host keys after the next boot of the appliance?

I want to modify your MySql appliance to run an own web application.

I put my files (including a index.html) into /var/www. (It is a small PHP-app using mysql.)

When I call my appiance via browser, I always get PhpMyAdmin. The content of /var/www is completely hidden.

As a workaround, I can run

/usr/sbin/lighty-disable-mod phpmyadmin
/etc/init.d/lighttpd force-reload
 

to get my own application running, but that means, that PhpMyAdmin is no longer available.

I'm having trouble setting up an internal network website running on a turnkey drupal VM to be accessible from outside our local network.

The Drupal6 appliance is set to http://192.168.1.201, and the local site can be accessed from within the network fine.

The router is set to forward port 2020 to the above internal IP address. However, I am unable to connect to the appliance (internal site) from outside the network (by typing 123.456.123.56:2020 in a browser).

• No interfaces are available (after significant uptime and reboot)
• Hard disk not valid label in VMWare server.

   possibly even better than bitnami

however,

    i am very frustrated with the live cds...

  in my opinion .. (since i am not a newbie linux user )

    there should be a better designed installation ....

   of course i am very sure  (since i have downloaded and installed very many linux distros )

   there are those who prefer to go the arch linux way...  (my somewhat boring joke towards

      non-gui installers... )

Is it possible and a better question are there instructions for upgrading the PHP included in the LAMP package to 5.3x?

Hmm... I have browsed through a few requests for LDAP on other appliances, but is there a way to simply add an LDAP server to the Samaba PDC? Rather, have the Samba PDC server also have an LDAP server. This way it could act as an LDAP server for other appliances (phpBB, wiki, whatever else needs LDAP)

So, basically, is there a way to add an LDAP server to the Samba PDC appliance?
