I have a server running KVM on CentOS 5.4

I downloaded the tomcat-apache appliance iso file to /tmp and ran this command to install it on a VM:

virt-install -n v1067 -r 512 --vcpus=1 --os-type=linux --os-variant=ubuntuhardy -v --accelerate -c /tmp/turnkey-tomcat-apache-2009.10-hardy-x86.iso -f /var/lib/libvirt/images/v1067.img -s 15 -b br0 --vnc --noautoconsole

I get the Turnkey Linux intro screen and select Install to hard disk.

The appliance seems to start loading and then crashes.

Ok, so I can test install within virtualbox, but when I try to install on my older dell server I get some strange issues showing up.

1. I needed to remove the SCSI card to be able to boot to either the live CD or the install mode.

- this is not an issue as I don't need or care for the tape drive.

I have installed the Joomla appliance VM and everyhting works well.

However, we need to make Joomla a Service Provider (SP) in a SAML federation so that the SAML Identity Provider (IdP) can authenticate users and re-direct them to Joomla in Single-Sign-On

This scenario has worked well with a regular Ubuntu VM, with a Joomla 1.5 package and the SAML plugin in Joomla.

I just came across this site and have to say I am very impressed with the depth of appliances you have developed.

We are a hosting company.  We have been offering CentOS based VPS instances using KVM virtualization.  Integrating this project into our service will allow us to offer a much wider range of options to customers.

I am looking for help on how to create an automated web-based system to allow customers to choose an appliance and install it on a VPS.  Is there a guide on doing that?

I've been trying to mount a shared folder in the Turnkey LAMP stack (version 2009.10 in Virtual Box via WinXP host).  I'm somewhat inexperienced in Linux, and have not been able to get the shared folder mounted.  I get the part about creating the shared folder in the gui dialog, but not the mounting part. 

I have just installed my first VM image (TKL phpBB) and I must say: NICE! Too easy really!

Problem though.

I logged in under the default admin account. Then had a bit of a play round but didn't change much. I then went into the Moderator Control Panel (required a second login - same user and pass - worked fine). I changed a few things but nothing important, then logged out.

DokuWiki runs on very old version. Is it possible to upgrade dokuwiki?

Ok - I have the Amazon AMI all setup. I can log into my web interface file server.

I downloaded Putty.... I have used Putty in the past but its been a couple years.

I see the SSH key in the "SSH HOST KEY FINGERPRINTS"
How can I set Putty up to login automatically?
Also - can I setup a Webmin type of interface for setting up users and managing the mounting of data storage?
I did setup 10gig of storage but I was not able to login via SSH to "mount" the data.

Is there a guide to seting up Turnkey Primary Domain Controler ?

Hi, I was going to have a look at the File Server and I tried to import the ovf file into ESX however it said there was an invalid entry on line 9 I believe.   Thanks.
