Migrating old Redmine Turnkey (13) to new Turnkey Redmine (17)

Forum:

hello, I need to migrate the old turnkey redmine to a new one, I want to do it manually without TKLBAM, I can’t find documentation on migration, I don’t know where to start and what to configure, because it’s not clear at all, and regarding the database, in the old The muscle scheme is different from the old one, if I dump the database and migrate tables or columns one at a time, won’t anything break? Give me your advice on how to migrate

Export AMI for AWS

Forum:
Tags:

Hey guys. I have a custom appliance built off of base. It is basically installing docker, docker-compose, and a python package that is needed to run our application for those that don't want to get it running in Docker/Kubernetes themselves. It works great to create an ISO, where I do a bunch of stuff at firstboot, including setting several random keys, SSL certs, etc. I need to get this running on an EC2 server for a customer. Is there any way to export to AMI, so they still get all the firstboot stuff?

"Please initialize this system..." message for already setup and config system

Forum:

On a Turnkey core 17.x vm in proxmox ve 8.1.4 that I have had/upgraded for years now. This system hosts my local instance of Bitwarden. Everything within the vm looks correct, HAProxy from fw is working; however I get a "please initialize this system" prompt when going to url. When I access via SSH or GUI in Proxmox and review settings, it appears that it is all set up and configured, however I cannot access what I should normally.

Some information and advice for a first installation.

Forum:

Hello,

I'm setting up a Debian 12 server for a small development and testing lab.
These are its features: AMD Dual Core, 16 GB RAM, 120 SSD, 4GB HDD in RAID.

I would like to understand how resources are used by installing multiple apps.
Referring to the VMs I use on my PC, 3 VMs with 3GB of memory each occupy 9GB on the PC even when the individual VMs do not use all the memory.

So,

Getting mails from root@myhostname - whever do I config

Forum:

Hello

Probably a newbie question... I have just deployed a Turnkey Appliance for Bookstack and it is woking nicely.

I however see in my SMTP relay server a number of - blocked - mail coming from root@myhostname where myhostname is the host name for the appliance.

I believe this is not Bookstack but something in the underlying LAMP stack. Any obvious places to check ?

lexicon tool broken for dns-01 challenge

Forum:

Fresh install of openldap 18.0 in a proxmox vm and trying to use dns-01 challenge to get a LE cert.  I was asked to install lexicon, said yes, got an error that I flashed past and now I keep getting:

lexicon tool is required for dns-01 challenge, but your system is in an unexpected state

Do you wish to continue?

Whether I click on "Yes" or "No" I get the same bit of python errors that don't tell me what the problem is and I get kicked out.  I can't use http challenge because this is an internal box.

Migrating old Redmine database (non Turnkey) to Turnkey Redmine

Forum:

Hello, I recently used Turnkey to upgrade our wiki system stack.  Now I am working on updating our Redmine system (stack from those "B" guys).  I am running into a privileges issue on the database migration.

Based on the database users in Turnkey Redmine(mariadb.sys, mysql, redmine, root), I believe the correct user to grant database permissions is redmine.

General help with the configuration of Mail and Letsencrypt needed

Forum:

please excuse my perhaps stupid questions, but I just can't get any further at the moment. First of all about sending mail: I start : confconsole -> Mail relaying -> Mail relay -> Custom Then I enter the access data (host, port, login, password) and after I have pressed Enter a message appears: SMTP connection test successfull Ready to configure Postfix If I then go to this input mask again, my data is gone. What am I doing wrong, where do I continue afterwards? With Letsencrypt I don't have the possibility to enter my data, DNS provider, API key etc..
