Installing LAMP module with questions

Forum:

Hello everyone.

I am installing considering installing Turnkey Linux on a computer I am reporposed as a server.

I have tried multiple other options, but they are either beyond my scope or not really what I want.

If I install the LAMP modue, can I install multiple CMS modules as well while still being able to writed my own code with my editor without any conflicts? (conflicts such as multiple componets not playing well together)

I want to set up my own test and web development environment. I want it extensile, dependable and stable.

OTRS receives GMAIL fine but can not send

Forum:

Grettings - I just installed the lates OVA on VMware. Very nice and works well. I am able to setup gmail to receive emails just fine. However, when I request user registruation, or reset passwords, and generate new tickets no email is sent. I expected with Postfix on localhost that would have been the least of my concerns.

Any help to get to the bottom of this would be fantastic!

C++ app with DOS libs to GNU

Forum:

Hi guys, here is one problem I came across recently - I have an app which operates with dos functions, so I tried to compile it with gnu and it doesn't seem to work due to the dos libs, even though I put them in right folders, I've made a little research and people were saying that dos doesn't fit well with linux and noone proposed any solution, could you guys recommend me something? Thank you, have a nice day :)

default dokuwiki install - media uploads do not link to files

Forum:
Tags:

Hi there,

when I do a fresh install of dokuwiki (latest version),

login to dokuwiki after the installation is finished

upload a file

the I get a broken link to the file  (see screenshot).  It's naturally also not showing when embedded into any wiki page.

I suppose it has something to do with the rewriting rules, but since I have no clue about the topic I'm not really getting anywhere right now.

Can someone point me into a direction where to look for the problem?

Thanks in advance

orangeHRM Amazon image - is the API fullu functional?

Forum:

I'm using the Turnkey orangeHRM image in AWS. I need to be able to use the API to retrieve an employee's ID and details, but can't seem to get this to work.

The API documentation seems a little sparse and although I've managed to setup the auth token, I cannot use a bearer token to login and get details back.

So is the API fully functional in this image (ie. can I do what I need to?), and,

Is there a curl or other example of how to make a POST/PUT call?

`Version ID Question

Forum:

Greetins all, I have had my server running for the last several years, never had any issues, so I am at a loss as to the version. Should it be upgraded/updated if it is running flawlessly? How do I determine the version, I have forgotten how.
