I've been chatting with blind_guardian23 over on Reddit. For some reason (maybe it's too long?), Reddit refused to post my most recent response and I'm over fighting with it (plus I've already spent too much time on this and I've got tons to do...). So I've taken the path of least resistance and just copy/pasted what I'd written here.
This was intended to be posted to in that thread, in the brief post that has a link here.
Greetings, I am not a very experienced Linux user, so I have a question. I have a need to install a remote desktop, previously I installed from Windows to Windows, now I need to install remote desktop access from a Linux Mint machine, can you please tell me how to do it right?
Versions of Webmin prior to 1.997 have a Critical vulnerability (CVSS3 score of 9.8). This is an authenticated vulnerability so in my case as the only Webmin user I'm not worried about it. Others may have more Webmin users so might be at a greater risk. I wondered whether it's worth applying an upgrade to the latest Webmin version?
That would at least stop my vulnerability scanner from telling me about some critical bugs!
