Hi,

I'm using the LAMP server (ubuntu 10.04) within VMware Fussion on my macbook for php dev, however I can not get it to send mail via the php mail() function.

I've no idea where to start to sort this out. I have checked the system logs and it says 'status=bounced' and '-Verification failed for <www-data@localdomain>'

I only want to be able to send email from my apps to myself for testing purposes. 

Any ideas as to how I can set this up.

I just recently installed the LAMP version of Turnkey.  The issue I'm having is whenever a normal user logs into the file manager via Webmin and extracts a compressed file, the output is always owned by root.  I have Browse files as Unix user set in the backend but it doesn't seem to affect this issue.

Any ideas on what I can do this fix this?

I can't seem to find the documented convent version of PostgreSQL in the LAPP. Poking around, it seems to be 8.x. Is there any intent to move to 9.x?

I wanted to connect to the DB using the PgAdmin III application, as it has some nice tools. But I can't seem to connect for what appears versioning differences. Has anyone successfully connected to LAPP using pgAdmin III?

Otherwise is there a means of upgrading to 9.x?

I am being told that Cron is not operating in Magento.  Does anyone know the process in TKL to see if it is or is not, and moreover to be sure it is working for Magento as well as the system.

Ok, i was going to write some code so i boot up the symfony appliance just like always but when i started to execute some code to the database i got "Mysqli statement execute error : Table 'articles' is read only". Then, when i tried to uplaod an image from a form i got "The given destination is not writeable". So, what's going on? All the system appears to be in read only mode !!

When I try to do a backup, during the uploading stage I eventually get a "failed (attemt #X, reason: error: [Errno 104] Connection reset by peer). Im assuming this is because my VM is on a server at home and I have low upload bandwidth. Are there any settings I can change, such as timeout or keep alives, to prevent my connection being dropped when I'm doing the backup?

yesterday i started the first installation of the file server package and i have to say that this package is very nice. After installing and making the first tests, i wanted to install a new module:

the "lcdproc" addon to show system informations on a lcd display

I tried to use the APT manager, but while installing the module i get an error, that some dependencies are not installed.

Is here anyone, who have installed this package without problems and could give me some informations?
