first of all, hi to the community. I'm new to Turnkey linux and after 1 installation, I'm becoming a fan.... Thanks for great work.

I'd like to modify LAMP appliance (I really like TKLPatch approach), but first I need to get some software written as Perl CGI scripts working.

At the moment I have an rrd.cgi script in /var/www/cgi-bin and when I try to access if from remote location, I get the script as text - it doesn't get executed.

Since appliance is supposed to support Apache&Perl out of the box, I'm surely missing something simple ?

I have just come to know about turnkey linux... and loved it at first sight :) 

I downloaded the ROR appliance to use it for development...

I can access the default "railsapp" by using the ip address of the virtual machine from the host machine.

But i cannot access the rails app which i created... can somebody tell me or point me to a tutorial that deals with this??

What i am trying to do the is the following (or something similar):

http://<ip-addr-of-guest>/  -> default (sample rails app)

I have nothing in deb/ or overlay/

As I mentioned the result is iso that is loading busybox shell. couldn't see any errors on the kernel boot messages.

first of all I would like to thanks to the turnkeylinux team all the effort to make this possible. It is great to have the opportunity to run this complex configurations just in seconds.

I have been playing around the openbravo turnkey and I have found it really interesting. It took me just a few hours to install vmware server (get to know it) and install the turnkey image to use it. Amazing!

Ok, so what format are the appliances in?

I'm trying to get them to work with ESXi 3.5.

1. Tried copying to ESXi server - wont power on

2. Tried converting using OVF Tool - doesnt work

3. Tried VMware converter - process fails as it can't clone disk.

Am I missing something obvious here?

i have installed turnkey on my computer

one hard drive is shared during the setup

and i have one hdd remaining that does not apear in the share directory

how do i make that hdd available on the network ?

I have this problem. I have a windoes PC with a public IP address, I want to use Turnkey LAMP in a virtual box inside the windows. I want to be able to publish websites inside the LAMP so they can be acessible from the internet. What king of networking I have to setup so this wold be possible? I tryed NAT but it doesnt work... I have MAC pc on witch I am tasting the configuration and I tink to move the ready virtual machine to the windows box.

Any advice wold be aprisiated.

Should this be done by the webmin interface ?

or should I do this manually by using : perl -MCPAN -e shell
