Linux, samba and NTFS amateur here. The context is a TKL home fileserver for Windows PCs, which is also a music server via UPnP/DLNA. Only one user (me), not bothered about high security, no web server, very simple, trying to avoid learning and using linux CLI, so Webmin if possible. Well, I got the music server stuff working fine, using an external USB disk in FAT32. I could even edit the data from a Windows PC, after I set the Security and Access Control>Writable? to Yes (in Webmin).
I have been wiating 14 hrs to bring this server up on AWS - the message is that it is installing security. I have created the poicies and the role and input as per your instructions but maybe I missed something - surey it doesn't tak ethis long?
I cannot access my blog at I have a wordpress blog hosted on turnkey linux, has turnkey archived it? it gives me the error This site has been archived or suspended. And I cannot login as administrator to unarchive it.
I have installed Drupal applience as VM with VirtualBox. I can login to Drupal, everything is fine, but there is a new releas for it and I need to know hou to install it.
I hosted my node.js app in aws beanstalk. I am using CouchDB - JSON based Web database powered by TurnKey GNU/Linux for database. what to use instesd of var nano = require('nano')('http://localhost:5984'); in live app to access database.
However now the interface looks like 1990 and when I try an update it from 1.831 to 1.840, I get a mess of buttons no matter which web browser I use. I then have to remove webmin and install it again.
New implementation of TKL Fileserver. Sometimes when I reboot, the Config Console which comes up on the main monitor, starts to break up and dsiplay more console commands (see attached .jpg). This doesn't seem to be causing any malfunction, as far as I can see, but it doesn't look right. Any comments welcome.
