MOTD innaccurate on TKLX14.1 after disk resize

Forum:
Hi Jeremy,

Hope all is well. It's been a while since I have booked a support query. I just completed a AWS EC2 TKLX14.1 Jessie server root disk resize (from 10GB to 20GB). That all seemed to go as planned and df -h shows the correct disk size.

When I SSH into the server though the initial display of the MOTD shows incorrect "Usage of" for the disk. The disk size and the usage amount is understated.

I took a quick look at the MOTD script but it seems to be a bit of a rats nest of sub-calls.

Any quick fix pointers?

Cheers,

apt-upgrade fails: unexpected file size coming from turnkeylinux bullseye repository

Forum:

Hi,

I am playing around with upgrading a turnkey appliance based on debian-buster to bullseye.

I changed the /etc/apt/sources... files to reference the bullseye repos and imported the GPG-keys for the turnkey bullseye repositories. But an apt-upgrade fails because file from the repository does not have the expected size (and Hash):

I have tried both the ISO and LXC on Proxmox which seem to install just fine. I can get to adminer and webmin.

I get to the Nextcloud logon page and am unable to logon using the password created during the installation.

What am I missing please?

German keyboard layout after installation

Forum:

Hi. How can I define, which keyboard layout is used right after installation of my custom appliance?

Especially when entering passwords, a wrong keyboard layout can be annoying.

Excluding packages when building new appliance

Forum:

Hi.

I have built a custom appliance, but do not want to have management tools like wemin, stunnel4 and shellinabox. Removing or disabling services afterwards with inithooks is not really an option for me.

How can I exclude some packages from being built?

Regards

Philipp

Upgrade Snipe-IT

Forum:

I just discovered that Aleksand posted on GitHub asking about how to update Snipe-IT. Rather than answer there, I thought I'd post here instead.

Please note that this only applies to a v16.x server, future releases (i.e. v17.0 or later) should be easy as the line line of this post... (TBC)

Upgrading PHP7.3 to 7.4 or 8

Forum:

I use the Turnkey Nextcloud LCX appliance.

Just upgraded Nextcloud to v23, and got the message that for Nextcloud v24 PHP7.3 isn't supported anymore.
In the Trunkey repositories, PHP7.3.31 is the latest version. Can I just upgrade it from the PHP website (build it myself), or use the debian repository, or do I need to do something special to upgrade?

How to upgrade to V16 (bullseye) without TKLBAM?

Forum:

Hi all,

I'm using TKL on PVE at home. I have not set up TKLBAM since I don't have (and want) cloud storage.

How do I upgrade my TKL appliances to bullseye? I tried it on a couple of containers via the debian way, but since then I get an error that the TKL-repos cannot be used b/c the key is not accepted.

Any suggestions?

How to disable TLS1.0 & TLS1.1 in Ghost/Nginx?

Forum:

I updated my /etc/nginx/nginx.conf to this:
ssl_protocols TLSv1.2 TLSv1.3; # Dropping SSLv3, ref: POODLE

Then did a "systemctl restart nginx", but TLS1.0 & TLS1.1 are still active on the server. There are no mentions of TLS in my "/etc/nginx/sites-available/website.conf", so I'm confused where else these settings could be tucked away at.

Any ideas?
