Hi,

Yeasterday I installed  Turnkey Redmine Appliance on Virtual Machine (using LiveCD image) I found out that redmine version is 1.0.5.stable.

I would preffer using latest version (1.3.2). Is there any easy update process?

I'm thinking about using Bitnami stack (with has current Redmine version), but I don't like ther binnary installer.

Anather option is installing evrything from scretch.

Been a long time doing it but set up a wordpress multisite on turnkey lamp.

The multisite has 2 subdomains.

I have 2 addon domains mapped to the 2 subdomains of main site.

I'm running an apache webserve on your LAMP server, Turnkey LAMP 11.1. 

I'm using TLKBAM and I've successfully recovered to a fresh install of LAMP 11.1 without any issues in the past.

I want to test a failure scenario and back up to a new server, but I've noticed that now the LAMP version is 11.3.

Am I able to pull by TKLBAM restore onto the new 11.3 image or are there any gotchas I need to look out for?

I stood up a TKL LAMP stack box (Dell Precision 670) last fall and have had no significant problems.

During this week the UPS this box was connected to began intermittent whining. I attributed it to recent power outage and UPS switch seemingly getting stuck. But now I know the battery is dead.

Today I did a system shutdown of all 3 boxes that were connected to that UPS.

I reconfigured my power. Then I rebooted all 3 boxes (the other 2 are Dell Precision 650 running TKL & ancient Gateway 500 running pfSense).

The TKBLM "smart"backup is great. I use it and love the service. But, it doesn't always work. In some cases it's too "smart."

For instance, when I have to configure Chrerokee as my webserver, there are various settings and versions that have to be managed by external source depositories, etc.

Trying to backup this type of system, or anyone with similar custom source and version issues, (default sources having very different, out of date versions) is a failure.

I was thinking to take snapshot of the vm image.

Shutdown the OTRS server normally and take snapshot, do a copy to another vm host.

The next morning, OTRS cannot boot and the harddisk inside vm is in a mess.

The snapshot get error as well, seem it was unlucky no way to recover the image.

I get a copy on the other vm host, and it cannot boot normally, but seem accessable to files.

My plan is to build a brand new Turnkey 11.3 OTRS and migrate the setting and SQL database from the broken one to the new one.

I have installed the Wordpress appliance and everthing is working fine accept for when I login into wordpress to upload a new theme I get the following error:

"The uploaded file could not be moved to /var/www/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2012/03. "

Any ideas what could be causing this, as the rest of the wordpress front end seems to work fine 

Its only when i click on Theme under Appearence it suddenly takes ages to load (about two minutes)

and then  when I upload the new theme after about 3 minute the error presents itself.

I have my LAMP stack running on Oracle's VirtualBox. I followed the instructions here: http://doxfer.com/Webmin/ApacheWebserver#Creating_a_new_virtual_host

to setup my virtualhost "http://clickslide.loc" but the only thing I get is an error message. The message in Google Chrome is:

I have 158Gb for a file server sitting in the hub that I cannot delete?!?

I removed the link to the HUB, stopped backups etc but everytime I click delete forever it just stays there!

Anyone experienced this?

i cannot create a project, if the repos dir is a mounted smb share. i get following error:

root@trac ~# trac-initproject svn test
fatal: project svn-test already exists

if the repos dir isnt mounted and a "real" dir, everything is working fine

what i did:

* Installed Turnkeylinux Trac from the iso on hyperv (with legacy network)

* removed all existing projects and the svn,git,bzr,hg dirs in /srv/repos/

* installed smbfs (had to delete the turnkeylinux repository in the sorces.list)
