Unable to setup OpenAM on Apache-Tomcat or Standalone Tomcat

Forum:
Attached:
I am unable to properly configure OpenAM as its war file installed and started successfully. On standalone Tomcat OpenAM installed in /var/lib/tomcat6/webapps/opensso. On its first access OpenAM start its configuration which ends with error showing: Checking configuration directory /usr/share/tomcat6/opensso. /usr/share/tomcat6/opensso/.configParam (No such file or directory), refer to install.log under /usr/share/tomcat6/opensso for more information. Why it is refering to this directory. Is it OpenAM or Turnkey-Tomcat error.

Instance status checks fail, fails to start after reboot; was healthy earlier today

Forum:

Sometime after 3PM PT on 3/1/2012, my instance (i-f2611ec2) became unavailable. Rebooting does not bring it back up. It is a Postgres-11.3.lucid-x86 appliance that had been running without a hitch for 40 days. I did not do any maintenance of any kind on it today. I accessed a Postgres database on this instance up to 3 PM PT today. I am attempting to stop the instance and then start, but the stop has been running for approximately 40 mins or more.

Checking the AWS console I see 2 of 2 status checks have failed.

Finding backup billing on amazon

Forum:

I have multiple Amazon AWS accounts and I have just spend an hour trying to find the "order" for my tklbam backups. I look on my credit card and I see the charges for the backups, but I don't see it anywhere in my amazon accounts.

I unregistered my EC2 account from the hub, but the backup is still there. I'd like to unregister/cancel it and re-register/order it via Amazon.

Can anyone help me?

I thought at one point I found a link in AWS that would show a list of "applications" that I was subscribed to, but I don't see it anymore...

Combining TKL with (almost)full blown Ubuntu

Forum:

I am new TKL user (in fact I haven't even installed TKL but I'm about to do so). I have a question that I don't know whether it belongs to the support forum or to a different forum. If this is not the right forum, please tell me where I could post this question.

How to update to Apache 2.4 on Turnkey?

Forum:

Hi guys and Gals!

I have seen many good things about the new version of apache 2.4, that is faster than previous ones and that it consumes less memory.

I would love to use Nginx with Wordpress, but its hard for me to configure, I wish there was a Virtual machine already configure to just boot up and use, anyways since this is about Apache, I would like to know how to update to the new version on turnkey and if it is recommended since it is so new (security issues or something else)

please advice

thanx a lot

tklbam-restore painfully slow, duplicity at 1% CPU usage on average

Forum:

As stated in the title, my tklbam-restore is already a few hours in for a 6 Gigs backup, and I'm starting to think that this is a little too much.

I have absolutely no clue as to where to start to investigate what is happening.

I did the following thing :

  1. Install OpenVZ template in proxmox
  2. Connect to it as root
  3. Run tklbam-init with my API key
  4. Run tklbam-restore 7
  5. ... not profit ??
  6. Still waiting :)

I would appreciate any help from anyone.

Cheers.

Duplicity is killing my red mine appliance

Forum:

I confess to an error of judgement - in that I resized my Redmine appliance down to 8Gb -

but since redmine itself only using 500Mb of data I thought that would be OK

Trouble is every 2 or 3 days the whole server is full, disk is at 100% and it falls over

If I delete the duplicity folder (usually 4Gb or so) then it runs for a few more days -

Turnkey Hub with Magento not working as expected

Forum:
Attached:

Yesterday we registered at hub.turnkeylinux.org to host magento test instances on our Amazon AWS (EC2) Account.

After starting the instance there was a security update which took several hours, but finally the instance was reachable.

I would've expected to browse the instance (allocated an elastic ip) an see the welcome screen of magento. But the only view i get is this one:

500 Internal Server Error - Django appliance

Forum:

I just installed the Django appliance using all the default settings. Upon complete installation I try to access the sample Django site, but get "500 Internal Server Error".

I then try to upload a simple, static HTML file to the /var/www folder, but get the same error.

While I am technically skilled, I have little/no experience with Linux and web-development in general - just getting started - so I need "babysteps assistance".

I browsed the forums, found others had similar problems, but found no solutions....

Kind regards,
