I have a conference I am setting up, and need some help....
300 PCs, 8 Turnkey File Servers, VERY FLAT NETWORK....
I need the 300 Windows NT workstations (Split between the 8 file servers) to sync a folder from the file servers.....also need the file servers to sync (Rsync???) the same folder from 1 main file server.
Servers:
The problem is, I have not been able to get a completely open (read only) share setup on the Turnkey file servers, and my guess is I will need to make a Cron job on each so that they sync from 1 main file server.
Hi,
I'm an appliance-noob. My only experience so far is playing around with the Turnkey Linux-Redmine appliance on Windows XP and it has been great to try out a local Redmine.
I would want to try using redmine for organizational purposes for myself anyway. So my question is if it makes sense to use the redmine appliance for production purposes. To be more specific:
(1.) Are there any (redmine) appliance-specific downsides to my "Windows XP-use case"?
Apologies in advance for this basic question. I have installed the Turnkey Linux Redmine Appliance and all is working very well. The only thing I'd like to do is access it via a Hostname instead of its IP Address. I have it installed in a Virtual Box VM on a Windows PC with Windows PCs on the Network.
I installed Turnkey LAMP and it works great. I can access all the menus in webmin. I then uploaded my web site to var/www/green90. But once I want to access my web site I keep on getting an error message from firefox.
Oops! This link appears to be broken.
I insert the following address http://192.168.2.2/var/www/green90/ - Then it does not work, and with my wamp server on my PC the site runs perfectly.
I've been working with the Samba Turnkey appliance and I'm trying to set up user disk space quotas for our Network Attached Storage (NAS). Using the webmin mount module and the the smbfs package, I set our NAS to be mounted to a local folder accessible to the user. I then installed the webmin quota module and the quota package. After some wrangling this allowed me to set up user quotas on the local file system.
Hi my name is Dirk and I am new to Turnkey.
May be I am too silly to start or configure an image using vmware player,
but at the moment I am totally frustrated.
