I have been getting an error when installing cups on turnkey linux core 10.04 Lts Beta Saying:
ldconfig deferred taken place
I have been getting this with 8.04 lts appliance's(more specificly the pdc appliance, because that is the only one I use. out of the 8.04 appliance's on a daily basis) and with the turnkey linux core 10.04 lts beta release, too, when this error pops up, you cannot install anymore packages anymore, and it renders the installation of new applications useless because you cannot install anything, could someone tell me how to fix this error?
Sorry if this is just plain obvious but I'm being plagued with the mysql error '1045: Access denied for user xxx' when i try to do a mysqldump. None of my normal passwords work with 'root' as the user. Is there a manual way of backing up or is there a config file somewhere I can look at to get a hint of the password?
I installed phpmyadmin to try to work around the problem but it requires the same missing password.
Using mysqladmin -u root password xxxxx just gives me the same message (without the 1045 identifier)
on the beggining i would like to thank you guys for the great appliance you've developed! its marvaless!
Actually this is the first time im starting my web server and i have no idea how to configre it.
Ive managed to configure the accounts for the mysql user and im able to login from outside via myphpadmin
Im not sure if I have to create a virtual server or edit the Existing virtual hosts... could someone explain in few steps how to configure the web server for my site.
I'm using Turnkey Wordpress appliance, and can't see how to change the keyboard mapping to UK so I can get the | # ~ ` symbols etc. In Windows, I use the Standard 101/102-Key keyboard type, and all symbols are mapped as expected.
Google suggested "loadkeys uk", but the WP appliance says:
Loading uk
/usr/bin/ckbcomp: Can not find file "symbols/uk" in any known directory
I'm not experienced with Apache, and having trouble properly configuring mercurial push support. I've done this before with lighttpd, but not Apache. Can someone recommend the right way to add https push support to the hg hello world repo?
What I've tried so far is to add the following to the conf.d/hg file:
Greetings all. I have been playing with a local copy of the trunkey drupal system on my local machine using virtual box. Love it so far. But I am a newbie to Drupal, especially the sql database under the covers.
I've downloaded the Wordpress appliance turnkey-wordpress-2009.10-2-hardy-x86.iso and installed it in VMware 7.1 under Windows XP SP3. As NAT networking is used, I get a IP of 192.168.58.135 which works when viewed in Firefox.
The Wordpress appliance page on this website says that the default credentials are: "Webmin, SSH, MySQL, phpMyAdmin: username root, no password." However, when I hit Webmin or phpMyAdmin, I cannot log in using root with no password as it gets rejected.
I performed a dist-upgrade (on my Druapl appliance) which upgraded apache, webmin, and a couple of other packages. I have not installed any other packages except whois. Now, I get this when I try to run MySQL:
ERROR: The partition with /var/lib/mysql is too full!
Indeed, df says that /dev/sda1 is completely full.
I have an ebs volume attached to this instance, so I can move stuff around. But there is nothing large on /sda1. I have not stored much there (about 130M).
