I am currently using the Drupal 6 TurnKey appliance. I am also developing some Java servlets and so will use Tomcat as the servlet container. However, those servlets will need to be on the same machine as Drupal, so should I:
1) Install Tomcat on the Drupal 6 TurnKey appliance?
2) Install Drupal on the Tomcat on Apache appliance?
Does anyone know how to add plugins to the TWiki appliance? The standard instructions on the TWiki web site do not seem to apply to the TKL appliance, since there are TWiki packages missing from it; and the file structure for the TWiki installation does not match the defaults.
What is the command to get back to the configuration console after dropping to the command prompt? Sorry if this is posted or documented elsewhere, I couldn't find it. Thanks
UPDATE: Narrowed down the problem. When a TKL patch contains acpid (specifically acpid_1.0.4--5ubuntu9.3_i386.deb), the build gives a long stream of errors like
Failed to read file turnkey-mediawiki-2009.10-2-hardy-x86.rootfs/proc/irq/9/smp_affinity, creating empty file
Failed to read file turnkey-mediawiki-2009.10-2-hardy-x86.rootfs/proc/kallsyms, creating empty file
The build ultimately fails with
Failed to read file turnkey-mediawiki-2009.10-2-hardy-x86.rootfs/proc/kcore, creating empty file
I've made a few usability enhancements that should make it easier for the community to engage with the TurnKey forums. Crossed out a bunch of errata that I've had stuck in my todo list for a while.
Great people out there! This is my first forum post! Thanks for reading this!
Basically I'd like to see the VM images ported to Xen templates. I'm no virtualization guru (yet!) but Xen makes every sense for a Linux based project like Turnkey Linux. On that regard, I'd make myself available, including computing power and bandwidth for whatever needed. If you know somebody that already did this, please let me know!
