My laptop doesn't have a CD/DVD drive. Is there a way to install Turnkey MediaWiki from a thumbdrive?
I tried copying all the files from the CD (after burning the iso file I downloaded here) on the thumbdrive and changing the boot order of the laptop, but I got the following messages:
No operative system found, and
Remove your accessories and press any key to reboot.
Evidently I'm doing something wrong. Any help please?
Here is my situation: I own a Windows based webhosting business. I have the opportunity to pick up a client (friend, actually) that is currently running Scoop - he wants to switch to Drupal. I don't know diddly about LInux, and frankly don't have a lot of time to master it right now. I downloaded the Drupal appliance from here and had it up and running in a VMWare Fusion virtual machine in a few minutes, and had it customized for him within a couple of hours.
I'm trying to use the live system CD to recover content from an sql dump of a site I used to run on drupal 5. I'm now moving to dokuwiki.
I'm running it on a live system because I don't have the extra disk space to make a persistest installation.
I tried the live system last night, and i managed to get it to work though I encountered some issues which I managed to resolve anway, eventually managing to upload and restore from the sql dump. I was thinking that since I already did it, I could do it again today. Well, apparently I'm mistaken.
Hi, congratulations for the LAMP appliance, I found it really nice and it will be useful on our office for our intranet.
I will appreciate if you can help me installing PHPMYADMIN on the LAMP appliance, release 2008.12.09, since I tried with the instructions of this post:
