Being a recent Windows convert, I've suffered through many weeks of frustration trying to get Joomla and Drupal installed on my personal server--Ubuntu 8.04.
TurnKey Joomla15 saved my day! It is going on my intra-net. Now I need to learn how to add some user-friendliness with a WYSIWYG editor, browser, and Drupal 6.6, etc.
I'm sorry there's always one and this time it's me.
I'd like to get wireless working on my noisy server so that I can put it in the garage. I tried apt-get install b43-fwcutter as root which downloads and gets the driver, extracts the legacy driver then fails (see below).
I am trying to install the MediaWiki version. I wanted to do a manual partition scheme.
The partition editor seems to be missing options. When ever I select an existing parition, it won't allow me to edit the partition. I always get the same erro, "no root file system selected".
In past installs of various Ubuntu versions I recall more choices during the partition editor. Normally I can choose mount point, create partition, delete, etc.
Is Turnkey only set up to use the entire disk? No manual paritioning allowed?
I am not sure where to begin to appoach this issue. I want to install phpmyadmin on my turnkey lamp box. I thought I had found a good place to start, but no so.. Can someone point me in the right direction (docs, howto, faq etc) for making this work?
root@lamp:/usr/share# sudo apt-get install phpmyadmin Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done E: Couldn't find package phpmyadmin root@lamp:/usr/share#
I just installed turnkey-mediawiki-2008.10.29-hardy-x86 in a VirtualBox machine. The console says to go to http://10.0.2.15, but there is no response. The host is Hardy Heron.
How can I find the problem?
I also have this turnkey-mediawiki-2008.10.29-hardy-x86 installed on a VMWare machine with a winXP host. It is working fine.
So I suppose there is a problem with either VirtualBox or the Hardy host.
I just installed turnkey-lamp-2008.10.17-hardy-x86 everyting went smoothly (Except I found out you can not use a usb keyboard during install) anyhow... my question is:
I went to login to the mysql database server admin through the webmin interface. It asks for a username and password.
I figured this was going to correspond to the root password I entered during installation. But that does not seem to be the case. I tried all the normal default passwords I could think of.. no luck. any ideas?
