I have just finished installing the turnkey wordpress VM into my esx system. I am unable to access webmin, webshell, phpmyadmin or ssh/sftp. is there a firewall or port blocking active by default? if so where is the conf file to edit? I can get to the wordpress main page and its subpage.
When I enter russian text into wiki, it displays as "?????" on screen, but can be downloaded as html or text file correct. But when I choose to edit tha text, it converts into "???" in edit field.
Can I use redmine with russian or other non-ascii chars, and how can I tune it?
I installed LAMP on vmware server 1.06 virtual machine with intention of running plone on it. There is no gcc installed however. I am not familiar with Ubuntu. Webmin doesn't seem to help. Can somebody tell me how to install gcc? Thank you.
I'm trying the MySQL appliance out for the first time and I'm having trouble with phpMyAdmin logins.
I'm able to login OK as root, but I can't figure out how to allow other users login privileges. I've created an alternate admin user and with full global privileges. I've also created a database with a user that has full privileges to that database. I can't login with either user, instead I receive the "Cannot log in to the MySQL server" error.
Just tried to post a quick reply to a post and got the above message. I have got a similar message in the past (usually if I post offsite links) where I had to enter the text in the box (capcha type thing), but this time its not even offering me that option! Its just flatly refusing to accept my post! Any ideas?
[edit] I just got around the spam filter by changing the links to text (ie not links) but its not ideal (see the post here).
