Upgrades

Forum:

Hi all

I'm new here and have installed tkl with canvas - it was a breeze, so thanks. One thing I unsure of is about updates. I have read that tkl updates every day but is this for the whole system (including canvas) or just the tkl core? If it is just the core, how do I update canvas? I have looked at the git hub canvas pages, and it implies that upgrading varies according to how the installation is done. Obviously, it doesn't mention via tkl.

SSH Keys for TKL Revision Control (Git)

Forum:

I've been going pretty strong with git but I still can't seem to figure out how to prevent it from asking for the password everytime I pull/push.  Everything I've read suggests that you need to copy the SSH key generated client side and put it into the ~/.ssh/authorized_keys file.

However, my appliance only has a ~/.ssh file that reads:

ssh-keygen -f filename -C 'a comment' -N '' -t rsa -q

Moodle 2.3 TKL 12 clients > mixed content message after TKLBAM migration

Forum:

I recently started the move from Moodle 1.9 to 2.3  Per my standard practice I built my proto-type using the TKL 12- Moodle iso in a virtual machine.    I then backed it up with TKLBAM and restored it to a new physical machine.    Everything seemed to go fine except --  clients are getting a mixed content message "contains both secure and nonsecure items"    I wondered if anyone has encountered anything like this?

To trouble shoot I am looking at:

1) restored differant server certificates - regenerate server certs

GitLab

Forum:

First off I'd like to thank everyone who helped out in making this v12 release possible.  This is awesome!  Thank you!

I'm working on setting GitLab and I get a msg box prompting for a password anytime I try to push or pull.

=======================
TortoisePlink
-----------------------
git@serverip's password

-----------------------
<OK> <Cancel>

I have added my public SSH key in GitLab and set my prive key in TortioseGit, but I must still be missing some step.  Any ideas?

Version 12 LAMP Migration

Forum:

OK so I'm trying to upgrade my 11.2 LAMP to 12. I've created a new Medium instance and restored my 11.2 backup all ok. I'm having trouble attaching my EBS data volume. I snaphotted the original and made a new EBS from it and attached to new instance. Amazon says it's attached as /dev/sdf and its an ext4.

Mount says it doesn't exist and I notice that the listed devices start x something so boot dev seems to be /dev/xvda1 and I thnk my new volume has become /dev/xvdf.

Can someone tell me how to mount it please I've tried specifying ext4 and without and niether will mount it.

JEOS

Hi,

Here's a dumb question, perhaps this has already been answered, but I'm in a hurry so if you can help me answering it or rather pointing me to the already existing answers I'll be more than gratefull

I downloaded the JEOS iso and booted a virtual machine with it, now I are at the command prompt asking myself how could I make this minimal system be permanently installed on the hardisk and I frankly don't know where to start at.

Do any of you have an idea of how can I make this live system permanently installed on the disk?
Is there a how to somewhere?

Overwrote index.php in /var/www/ -- Any way to get it back?

Turnkey 12.0 / Debian 6.0.5

Accidentally overwrote the index.php that Turnkey uses to allow access to the web shell, phpmyadmin, etc.  Is there a place to nab that file and drop it in there?
