GitLab -- nginx "502 Bad Gateway" Error

Forum:

I installed the GitLab 13.0 ISO to a Proxmox-VE virtual machine. I then rebooted and went through all of the turnkey-init configurations, including the initial package updating and rebooted. No other changes have been made. When I try to use a browser to open <host ip addr>, I get back "502 Bad Gateway". I have googled around, but have not found anything to help. <host ip addr>:12321 opens and works properly.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated;

John

Hi, I'm pretty new with LAMP/Debian and the scripting which I would like to use requires me to enable GMP.

I can't find it in the GUI interface, is there someone who please can give me a hint to install/enable this through the CLI?

Regards

Hub Host Name assignment may have an error

Forum:

I had the occasion to create then destroy (and recreate) an instance via the Hub on EC2 while putting together the latest version of owncloud on a LAMP instance.

For the first create a choose a unique sub-domain name (showed as available) for tklapp.com and it worked.

I had the need to destroy and then create the instance.  During this time I used the same sub-domain name (it showed as available).

However when I try to use the URL I get 'The site you are looking for is currently not available' from TKLAPP.COM

LXC containers use what from the host?

Forum:

I've just discovered Turnkey and LXC together and I'm excited about what it can do.

I'm unclear about how much of the host applications the container sees and can utilize.  Does it only see the kernel and resources?  Or can it see and use other applications and services from the host as well.

For example if I install MySQL on the host, do I also need to install it in the container or merely configure it in the container with its own config files?

Restore this backup to a new cloud server does not remember EBS Size

Forum:

Recently had the need to restore a backup to a new cloud server.

The backed up server had a 40 Gb EBS disk.

When I did the restore the EBS Size was set to 10 Gb (the default).

The restore process did not let me choose a disk size.

Is this expected behaviour adn if so is thre a work around?

Thanks - Peter

Will enabling MFA on my Amazon Root Account cause an issue with the Hub?

Forum:
Tags:

I am planning on enabling MFA on my root account at Amazon to increase my access security .

However a bit of caution says I should ask the Turnkey folks if this will interfere with the operation of the Turnkey Hub (day to day management or New instance Launching).

Appreciate hearing back on this one.

Thanks

Peter

OwnCloud Upgrade doesn't want to work

Forum:

Created a new EC2 instance with OwnCloud.

The install brings up Version 5.x

Using the manual instructions that Jeremy Posted (Jan 2014) I used the following manual comand to try to upgrade it:

'apt-get install owncloud=7.0.4-x'

Don't recall the last piece but ran 'apt-cache showpkg owncloud' to get the correct string.
