Setting up Site to Site with Turnkey OpenVPN Appliance

Forum:

I am attempting to set up a site-to-site VPN connection using the Turnkey VMWare appliance.  I have read that it's doable, but haven't yet found any step-by-step for creating a site-to-site link.  I have an ESXi 5.5 host at each site, with so far one OpenVPN appliance deployed, and I would like to know if there's a guide I haven't been able to find, or if someone could point me in the right direction to get this process started.

Thanks greatly, in advance!

How to update git on "TurnKey Revision Control version (13.0)"?

Forum:
Tags:

I downloaded the "TurnKey Revision Control version (13.0)" to have a git server. This image was created on Oct 28th 2013 and runs git version 1.7.10.4. The most recent git version as of Feb 2015 is 2.3.0, so the TKL VM git version is a bit out of date now and I'd like to update it.

How do I update my git version to 2.3.0?
Will an "apt-get install git" command do an update?
Will a new TKL Revision Control VM come out with updated git and OS parts?

Webpage load time issue. wget showing “HTTP request sent, awaiting response… 301 Moved Permanently”

Forum:

I have two websites on the same server. Both use Magento template. I am bit confused about the load time of both.

Please see the image.! ==>  i.imgur.com/iZeqa6R.png

They both use same DNS server and the above result is from the server itself.

One is loading in 5-6 sec but other take more than 10 sec.

What is mean by "HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 301 Moved Permanently". Is that causing the issue?

Repository usage in TKL-Redmine

Forum:

I am a bit confused.

I need to create a (series of) repository(ies) in my TKL-Redmine.

I tried to manually create a --bare repo in /srv/repos/git, but that is not visible from anywhere.

I later discovered the symlink in /var/cache/git; providing such a symlink now makes thje repo visible via git://git/..., but Redmine complains about "404 - The entry or revision was not found in the repository."

I assume this is because I created a --bare repo (as advised by Redmine docs), while the example repository is *not* bare and symlink points to internal .git dir.

OpenLDAP sync db from master to slave

Forum:

Hi,

I have setup my OpenLDAP appliance which is working fine.

How can i setup an LDAP sync of the ldap db between 2 ldap servers? The master would sync everything to the slave.

OpenLDAP PHPldapadmin only reachable on ip-address

Forum:

Hi,

I have configured my OpenLDAP appliance. I change the hostname and host file.

Webmin/LDAP works via ip and dns name.

But the PHPldapadmin only works via the ip-adress , i think this is somewhere configured like that.

Can this be changed? Else i have to connect whole the time via the ip-address.

Kr,

Joeri

Using Turnkey Wordpress and downloads are throttled to around 1.6 Mbyte/sec

Forum:

I have just implemented a site using Turnkey Wordpress and noticed that downloads from the site are limited to around 1.6 Mbyte/sec.

I have tried adding a rule using tc but this seems to have made no difference. Could someone please point me in the right direction.

Migrate old turnkey instance to different region

Forum:

I've been a long time user of turnkey linix and I've been running a Redmine instance for some years now.  The version is 11.2 lucid.  It also uses tklbam to backup to S3.

Over the years this instance has been extensively customised and the changes don't easily apply to the newer turnkey 12 and 13 instances.  So I don't believe I can just launch a new Turnkey Redmine version and restore a backup.

tkl LXC and apt-cacher-ng not working

Forum:

Hi all.

I just tried the tkl-lxc appliance on the hub.

All seems to be working as expected but I can't get the pre configured apt-cacher-ng to work.

All i get is:

Err http://cdn.debian.net wheezy Release.gpg
Could not connect to 192.168.121.1:3124 (192.168.121.1). - connect (111: Connection refused)

I have looked at the config files, see no errors there

Did a tcpdump -i natbr0 'port 3142'

And I see traffic.
