I am running the redmine appliance on a server. Everything works nicely, I just wanted to install a plugin which is not compatible with the redmine version - I am running 2.2.3 and the plugin needs at least 2.3. The most recent redmine version from the 2.x branch is 2.6.3.
So my intention is to update redmine from version 2.2.3 to 2.6.3 which I have to do manually since TKL does not provide newer packages (I think - correct me if I am wrong!)
Trying a restore of the nginx fastgi server. Currently runs on 50GB disk on VMware (not sure why such a big disk - it was just setup that way) - restoring to a Virtual box instance.
Now we gave the virtual box instance over 50GB disk space to be sure. But the full backup is just over 1GB. Its a proxy and doesn't do a great deal.
Having tried twice when restoring it gets part way through then appears to have filled the disk.
Disk usage on the live server is about 4GB - so I'm guessing something is going wrong... (stating the obvious I know).
When I load new packages via the web shell, and the packages prompt for input, the screen is black with much of the text not showing up. Normally these are blue screens prompting for input (if you use Putty for instance). I can see the invisible text by using my mouse to highlight the entire screen, but its really strange.
Is there something set wrong with the color theme or something? I can't believe other Turnkey users haven't had this same situation and complained.
Just spent 4 days patiently waiting for a 39GB to restore, and on the fourth day the webpage monitoring the restore "froze" so did the system the data was being restored to... so I crossed my fingers and rebooted. Zip restored. No log errors that I found even indicate a restore was underway.
Really there MUST be a better way to migrate large sites. I have a Drupal Sute with 40GB media that is running local on a bare metal server with TK 13 (no hypervisor) , trying to migrate to a new server's TK VM with ESXI VM host.
I have used older versions of Turnkey Linux on 32 bit hardware. Very easy to use for older equipment, however, the new download of the LAMP stack appears to only contain 64bit code. I am installing from the downloaded iso image. Did I miss a switch or setting somewhere that caused it to only have 64bit.
