Installed Turnkey Lamp v 2009-02 and it has everything I want except for GD library.

What is the simplest way for me to add support for GD library in PHP?

I can't find the libraries anywhere and no .ini file to modify to add support for GD lib like you do on a windows machine.

I boot off of the Drupal 6 CD and can login as root to the admin page. Everything seems to be working.

I login to the user page, select the only option I can "Install Drupal in English" and get this error immediately.

I have now my turnkey mediawiki installation and I now want to add a forum too, because as a discussion platform, there is a classic forum still the best...

My question is, How to add an additional website by using webmin apache virtual server?!

In our internal company network I have an installation of turnkey mediawiki-2008.10.29.

As we got a new computer, i want to upgrade it  to the actual version (2009.03).

I looked around in the internet and found several sites, but they all differ from each other and most of them just make a normal wiki upgrade... And It is also not a "standard" Installation so maybe if I use scripts from these pages, maybe dont work correct an I am afraid of destroing something.

I just discovered this site and the timing is great as we are just looking at starting to work with Drupal.  Installing the required components looked like a daunting task, so learning about the appliance idea could be a great time-saver.  Sorry if this is a dumb question, but must the appliance be installed on a Ubuntu box?  We have more local experience managing Mac OSX servers and desktops.  Can that be used for the Drupal 6 appliance?

I setup the Turnkey Mediawiki date 2/2009 in a VMWare session. However when I copied the vmware session files to a different system the confconsole no longer starts and networking does not work. When the VM boots, it comes just straight to the login in prompt.

Hi Everyone,

I need  to empty the existing database of my Drupal appliance, freshly installed (no content yet).

That is when I realised that accesses to PhpMyadmin, and other webmins, https did not connect. Only the site.

Also, I do not see where to place the modules, themes and things Drupal has to offer. I do not see any drupal file on my system by the way. Is it a trick of the .iso image disk ? (you can figure how much of a newby I am ;-)

Hi every one,

After installation I cannot get to the Drupal site.

I have done the install as explained. Here are my settings:

• Vista PC
• Virtual machine and turnkey-drupal6-2009.03-hardy-x86.iso insides folders on E:\ (instead of C:\ ) inside separate folders.
• I choose linux /ubuntu as OS to install via the VB wizard

These are the only changes I made to the settings offered during install.

Are these enough for not working ? Thanks for any help to a newby

I should apologise in advance - I have a background of about 15 years in Windows, and only in the past few days have tentatively dipped my toe into the Linux world. Don't know any Unix either.

I've just installed the Turnkey appliance for Drupal 6 into a VMWare image. It all seems to work fine. Drupal is up and running, and is installed.

Hello, i would like to build a custom turnkey software appliance. There is a Turnkey Core Distribution available with the promising description "Common Base for All Appliances" is there any howto or whitepaper available on how to build a custom distribution based on Turnkey core?
