Is it possible to create a second DC appliance when 10.04 is out, with the alpha build of Samba 4? Mean: A "stable" build with Samba 3.4.7 (or higher) and a "experimental" build with Samba 4 out of the box. This because applying group policy's is easieer with RSAT, something that Samba 4 supports.
If you look att Disk-image with "fdisk -ul sda.img" you see that "sda1" starts at unit 32 and that an unit is 512 bytes (32x512=16384). Mount it like this:
With some guidance from me and the kind and caring support of folks at irc.ampache.org #ampache, our 6 tech students revised the Ampache patch based on Liraz' suggestions. I've attached the patch here. Like the previous version, it is intended to patch TKL's LAMP stack to produce an Ampache appliance. Ampache is now fully configured and ready to have media added.
So I changed my login password for TurnKey Joomla and now I can't get access to the administrator backend. Any suggestions on how I might recover or change my password?
Few days ago I was looking for some Linux-based OS to NAS (which I am going to build) and found TurnKey - it looks really nice, even though it's designed for VMs. The idea of TurnKey is great, but as a Arch and Debian Sid user I am fan of newest software on my computer (yeah, I know, stability comes first on server).
So my question is rather obvious (if you read the subject): do you have plans of changing base system to Ubuntu Lucid (it's LTS)? I think it'd be a natural direction, so how much time it takes to rebuild" appliances for TK developers?
The other day I was showing off my wordpress virtual appliance to a friend. I thought it was so cool how within a few minutes of download I had a fully function WP blog with cool plugins and a great theme running. I told him I wanted to load it up on EC2 or some VPS hosting service. He is an experienced web/sys admin and like most was scinical of things that are too easy.
He did a quick look around and saw iptables was wide open and wrinkled his nose.... Is that a talent all sysadmins go to a special school to learn?
I've just run turnkey core drive on virtual machine. I get root@core:~# and prompt. How can I now run grphical mode? Commands X, startx, kde, gnome doesn't working. Is there such? How to run webmin? Sorry for such questions, but I'm quite new to this...
