I just found Turnkey yesterday and oh boy, what can i say but OH COOL ... Anyway, i have Xubuntu as my Host Box with Virtualbox installed. I have installed Lamp Turnkey and now i'd like to get started, so my question is if i am working wth Eclipse on my Host Box, how do i upload my webfiles to my my guest server ?
I have been waiting for the new 10.4 versions to come out and I just couldn't wait anymore, so I decided to try out a Bitnami virtual appliance. On our company (a typical SMB) we use pop3 - smtp emails, and each employee download the emails using MS Outlook directly from the mail service provider.
We would like to us a Zimbra Appliance to be an intermediate email server, so all the emails could be automatically downloaded by the Zimbra appliance, and our employees download the emails from the Zimbra appliance.
Torrent is one of the biggest download platforms in the world, but what about Usenet? It is a big platform too! Can the developers integrate SabNZBdPlus with the torrent appliance? I think the name "Torrent Server" is no more sufficient, so "Download Server Appliance" would be more likely.
Many work? No. Sabnzbd is allready in the repo's, but I ain't sure if it is the latest version. Only thing to do is intergrate it with Samba and ClamAV.

Per previous discussion, Information Systems Management students at Chelsea School have completed a LimeSurvey patch for the TurnKey Linux LAMP (Hardy) appliance. The patch uses limesurvey187plus-build8518-20100323 and installs Hardy with LAMP and LimeSurvey to a pre-configured state.
Just looking at some of the possibilities for improving tkl core on a per appliance basis. Some of the key changes would be in the file systems used for appliances. Its an area that doesn't get much attention but can greatly increase speed and/stability of an appliance. Think about XFS, ReiserFS/Reiser4, BTRFS as well as the usual EXT3/4.
Also another application which may help you would be SystemTap or LTTng . They are immature versions of DTrace but they will help in finding bottlenecks in your appliances and your customers deployments.
Hi! i' had just try the turnkey fileserver appliance and i have some problem with the user permission.
I create a read only user using the admin account in the fileserver and when i try to log in with the new user he can only navigate and view the file in the directory, the download on any file give me this error:
