Offtopic: Good week of releases. I only miss TKL Lucid!

Forum:

Well, I just wanted to comment that this has been a real nice week with important releases of software, at least for me:

The 18th we had the final release of Phusion Passanger 3 which is a major milestone for this project and the ruby ecosystem.

And today was released the first release of OpenStack which is a new and heavy player in the cloud and virtualization environment.

Call for ideas - UDS (Ubuntu Developer Summit)

Forum:

Canonical have graciously sponsored me to participate in the upcoming Ubuntu Developer Summit to be held in Orlando, Florida (starting 24th October). If you don't know what UDS is, see this post.

I'd like to get input and ideas from the TurnKey community on how to make Ubuntu rock even harder than it currently does.

TKLClient Core Appearance

Forum:

Adrian has created a patch for a Turnkey Client Appliance.

I have created a wallpaper and "start" menu icon for the client.

The wallpaper was designed to tile seamlessly no matter what size your desktop is.

If the design is approved, I can create several color variations.

Your feedback is appreciated.

TKLPatch for TKLPatch Development Environment v0.1 [Updated 07/11/2010]

Forum:

Hi everyone. The following patch is an idea I had while developing patches for the dev contest. It aims to build a TKLPatch development environment, making easy the life of developers to produce new patches for the project. Some discussion have been taken here. This patch is in early stage, as there are a lot of ideas for this one, but community feedback will be important to get things done right.

OWASP Top-10

Forum:

{I made this post before, but it dissapeared into the Æether}

Considering the sheer number of (frikkin' awesome) web-apps, little (or at leat too little) consideration has been given to the InfoSec (wheras that really should be the first concern).

Would there be some way to validate appliances agains the OWASP Top-10?
