Just installed a brand new Turnkey Lamp server onto our ESXi 5.5 hosts. The machine started up beautifully in all of a few minutes. Quite nice. Now comes the configuring time... was hoping it would be just a clean and easy, alas...
I have a domain whose www record is pointing to our DNS servers. Once arriving, the firewall is pointing that domain to the IP Address of our webserver. Apache Virtual Host is setup to forward the domain to the proper website doc root.
This is exactly how it works on another Linux webserver (not running Turnkey).
I run MineOS on two boxes at my house, this is a distro based on turnkey running minecraft servers. I've already asked for help there and nobody seems to know, so let me try here. I'll paste what I wrote there. Any ideas would be super appreciated!
I have two boxes running the turnkey linux and they've been great, but exactly yesterday, both stopped responding to my samba shares that had worked for a year+ without problem. I'm thinking something got updated and now I need to know how to fix.
We have a virtualized instance of Turnkey Moodle is working great under HyperV. Access to the Moodle server is fine on the internal network at our school. However, people trying to hit the server outside of our network from home can not get to the server. We tested routing to another server to test our firewall rules and that narrowed down our problem to the Turnkey Moodle server itself. The server does not appear to route NAT traffic back to the requesting web browser from external sources.
