OK having gotten my server running, I would like to migrate store content from another (non-Turnkey) server. The only problem is, that server won't run Magento due to messed up permissions. I'm trying to sort that out, but it's a slow process.
I was wondering whether there might be a quicker way. Perhaps if I just dump the Magento DB using the shell and import it to the Turnkey server, would that do the trick?
Thanks in anticipation for all and any assistance.
OK so I am trying to launch a Magento instance on EC2 via the Hub. The first time, I specified a root password, but couldn't log in with it (got a message saying access denied / incorrect password). I tried again without specifying a password, thinking I would get the password from the syslog as described. The syslog just seems to contain nonsense in the "set root password" section, no obvious password.
I expect I'm doing something wrong and would be very grateful if someone could point it out.
On the server are 2 websites, those are back'd up with TKLBAM.
Now, i just want 1 sql database restored, i have read the manual but am not sure what to use in webmin so that ONLY the database will get restored and not all the rest.
Very important, becasue there is a life webshop on the server that can not go down !
now i read this : LIMIT := -?(/path/to/include/or/exclude | mysql:database[/table])
My browser (Chrome, Firefox and the New MS Edge) show a secutirty error, displaying a RED lock icon with an X on the center of the image, and turns the page red within any of these browsers, the https: address appears with a red slash crossing it on the address bar, eventhough I set up my EC2 instance with the FREE http hostname.tklapp.com provided by Turnkey. QUESTION: How do I set up a SSL certificate on this thing? Is there a FREE option or SSL generator? I read something about using Route 53 on Amazon. Can somebody guide me along the way. Thanks so much.
Before I start I'm going to say that it's been ages since I touched any form of Linux distro, so this could well be me doing something silly, but it seems like the Apache Webmin section isn't actually changing anything.
it started like this. After doing a fresh install, I wanted to keep the little frontpae with the webmin, shell in a box, etc. links. It's a dev server and nobody else will be able to access it so it's no security risk.
Hi, I've just inherited a Turnkey VM which we use to create ISOs of our product.
I've just been tasked with putting in openVPN and easy-RSA (much like ssh) into this deployment for a new feature that has been added.
I've pieced thru the make files (not an easy feat) and come up in the /usr/share/fab/product.mk file. I've noted that the fab-plan-resolve call creates a list of all the files to download into the ISO by using the command:
Hello everyone. I deployed Ejabberd from the Amazon Marketplace to my EC2 and it's working wonderfully. The only thing I don't need from the package is that it runs Speeqe on my top level domain. I checked /etc/apache2 to see if I could manage to obliterate speeqe but I wasn't able to. My idea is to host a simple html landing for the project I'm working on by putting it in /var/www/index.html, which currently hosts a sample welcome page that came with the package.
I'll appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction, because I'm in the dark here.
I have am running Debian v7 and Apache 2.2.22. I need to get this upgraded to the latest version 2.2, but when I do apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade all I see is PHP updates. Why doesn't Apache show up and how do I upgrade 2.2.31 which I believe is the latest version.
We are using turnkey linux magento with turnkey HUB backup ( awesome and low pricing so highly recommended :).
Now we want to setup Vhosts on our server, i will give as much info as i can and think of right now.I am breaking my head on this now for over a week and just can't get it to work...
I tried everything i can find on the internet, problem is that on our server is used Apache 2.2.22 and most people have either older versions of Apache or newer, so it never fits on what i can read.
