granted that I'm writing about a ubuntu-10.04-turnkey-lamp_11.3-1_i386 template, virtualized and contained in a CT of a Proxmox Host, I'm facing in a strange issue after a monthly-scheduled upgrade of this distro happened two months ago (December 2013).

First of all, I've to say that I've token notice of this issue, which I'm about to expose, just after a power-failure happened 3 weeks ago. Then, networking service wasn't able to get start up at the system boot, whereas it was able to do it manually.

I have been running proxmox ve with KVM for a while now.  Decided recently to give TKL a go within proxmox, and it has been a bad experience so far.

The containers install OK (but show errors where one would expect the initialization scripts would have been run) .. after proxmox CT install, system boots into a console CLI prompt, where I am able to login.

All attempts (via proxmox 'vzctl enter'  OR via the web console OR via an ssh session direct on the appliance) to initialize the container fails with similar error messages as below ..

Trying to get the following command setup so it will boot once on next reboot, 

           /usr/lib/inithooks/firstboot.d/15regen-sslcert

The command recreates the SSL certificate.

Couple of questions 

1. where do I put the command/have to do so it will run only once?

2. Is there anything else that needs to be done to the machine to prevent confusion with other machines on the network (dhcp is enabled)?

From the GitHub documentation I am hung pretty early.  Using I386 for architecture:

If I follow the instructions, I assume I need to be in "/" root entering the first ARCH, CODENAME and SOURCEFORGE variable declarations.

We are evaluating a TKLinux appliance on AWS on the Free Tier (12 month) and wanted to check that backups could be restored properly to a new instance (rather than risk corrupting the exisitng appliance we are currently running)

To do this we had to upgrade to the $10/month pay-per-use tariff (you can only have one instance on the free tier) and it looked as if we could upgrade/downgrade as required.

How can I get uses to authenticate against active directory using LDAP?

Is there a package I need to install using Webmin?

Has anyone installed openldap on this build?

Good day, I'm currently trying to get ultimate use of a Monster server we already own. by installing number of software servers on it using a virtual technolgy. the issue is this server is a fujitsu siemens M4000 series which has only SPARC processors so I wonder if there is any Turnkey Appliances ready for sparc processors or is there's a way to get them made from the open sources.

This is just some feedback on your Turnkey Joomla and WordPress.

For both WordPress and Joomla I have tried to install the latest  themes and in both cases I have found the new themes give me the white screen of death, I have to remove the theme to correct the problem, I am not sure why ?

I have install a fresh system other then Turnkey and it works so there is a issue with the turnkey build and the lasted themes.

I am not sure if anyone else have experienced this problem before and what they did to rectify it?

Ok long story short, I have a desktop running wikimedia and I have changed the "Web Server Hostname" to work from, lets say, "businesswiki". Well if you are ont eh network physically you can log into the wiki webpage just typeing "businesswiki" in the browser, the problem comes from if you are out of network (But VPN into it) you can not use the tag "businesswiki" you must use the IP address of the wiki to have access to the wiki page. 

Is there an easy way to fix this?

Is it possible to install a turnkey appliance to a bootable usb drive, so you can free up a hardrive for extra storage. you can do this with freenas. just wondering can this be done with turnkey applianace?

Im runnin the file server aplpliance on a hp micro server. I have one 80gb for turnkey install  then two 1tb drives, one for storage and the other for rsync backup
