Hy guys im kinda new to linux but im trying to get into it

i tryed to setup a little home/torrent server whit turnkey but i ran into a problem whit the lancard of the pc im using for it if i want to activate eth0 it says siocsifflags file not found error ifconfig just gives me some local loopback somebody knows how to solve that? the lan card is an onboard Intel(R) 8255xER

I am having a problem to activate my Amazon EC2 though Turykey. Whenever I tried to activate application,  Launch to Amazon EC2 gave me an error message like "The specified Keypair no longer exist, chache has been updated. Please, try again".

I do not know what to do.

So, I'm looking for advice. I'm building a small drupal 7 instance. I'm at the verge of getting

out of memory errors with certain modules like bean. I'm not just adding modules to add capability. Each is specific for functionality of the the site. I'm also finding $61 month is a bit steep for the long term goals of this site. Should I purchase it as an instance? I think it is $227 a year.

I have searched but not seen related answer.

While gone traveling for 3 months my AWS account was blocked for non-payment.

Paid up and now reinstated the account.

But tklbam showing an error on my server.

error: a previous backup is still in progress

I've waited 2 days now but nothings changed.

It seems like some kind of glitch occured when the S3 account was shut off.

The last backup showing in the hub is on 6th July.

Anyone any ideas?

I went through the motions of downloading the Joomla 2.5 image, burning it to CD, and installing the software onto a Dell PowerEdge 1950 server. The installation appears to complete successfully, but upon reboot, the network cards are not detected.

Has anyone seen this issue, and know a way to correct it?

I've a problem after run update on this appliance.

Now Virtual machine don't work, because cna't mount udev and associates services.

I thinked taht this appliance it's based on Ubunut, but file name, contain name convention of Debian.....

I like restore Virtualmachine.

On this momento with live cd, start VPS, and mount root lvm partition on Live Session for move to another server...

But... there're any system for update appliance and recover problems with udev ?

I don't like move 2TB or lost 2TB

I installed ejabberd from iso, and in the configuration found there was no entry for the mod_shared_roster in the 'Modules at ejabberd@localhost' section.

There is the ability to add this manually at the bottom, and I did this. The mod was working great and all users can see the shared roster, but after a reboot, the configuration for the mod is missing along with the shared roster.

Any ideas on how to make this persistent?
