Adding Zimbra to a PDC

Forum:

Gday All

I  am new to LINUX but got a turnkey PDC installed and running on a IBM stand alone server. Works like a charm.  Four diffrent OS workstations connected and talking great.  Now the client wants to add mail. So what I am looking for is a tutorial (step by step) guide to adding Zimbra to the existing PDC accessed by the same webmin interface.

Does this exist? Can it be done?

Have done a lot of looking on google no luck so far.

udhcpc issue

Hi Alan,

I installed turnkey-tomcat 11.2 on Mac Mini 2011 (Lion & Snow) today. I got everything work fine but I did found out the udhcpc has some issue to get ip from my WRT54Gv4 router. I remembered that this issue had been detected in the past. udhcpc is ok with built-in BCM ethernet card but does not work with BCM wifi. I replaced udhcpc with dhcp3-client (dhclient) and it works fine. I strongly recommend that later turnkey release may replace udhcpc with dhclient.

Confirm Security Updates Install?

Forum:

How can I confirm when security updates install?

I launched a fresh VM of turnkey-lamp-11.2-lucid-x86, and I did not have a DHCP available, so I had to skip the security installs at launch. I attempted to run the cron from the command line in WebMin (test -x /usr/sbin/cron-apt && /usr/sbin/cron-apt) but it just hangs, and never confirms an install of anything.

Thank you in advance!

Turnkey and Vbox change console size

Forum:
Hi all,

I was hoping one of you would be able to point me in the right direction on a small challenge i'm facing.

On my Debian host, i'm running 2 Turnkey machines in Virtualbox namly the Lamp-stack and the torrent server.

As i'm doing most administration via a x11vnc client i would like to increase the console resolution of the virtual machines to 800x600 or 1024x768 on boot.

Another Total NOOB Question: Where in the world are the Wordpress files?

Forum:

NOOB Question:

My end goal: I would like to transfer files from my PC to my Wordpress installation using FileZilla. Particularly in the Wordpress installation folder where you would find files like .htaccess, and folders like the "wp-admin" folder, the "wp-content" folder, the "wp-includes" folder... etc.

I connect to my files just fine. I am using ipaddressofappliance over an SFTP connection and I am using the username and the password I set at first boot.

FileZilla connects just fine using these access credentials and what I see are folders called:

How to add aditional HDD to Turnkey Linux File Server Appliance

Forum:

Hi!

I have an additional HDD that is added to the system but how do I mount it so that I can use it for storage?

I have done an installation on a Xenserver, imported the appliance and added an extra virtual disk in Xenserver to it, it shows up under "Hardware" and "Partitions on local disks". Here I can create an big NTFS partition but what is next step to do to be able to use it?

/Thanks

ispCP installation

Hi everybody,

I've just started with Turnkey yesterday.  I'm trying to make my web developing server with Turnkey LAMP stack.  I've successfully downloaded the latest Turnkey LAMP stack VM and run it under VMWare Workstation on my notebook.  Everyting seems running fine.  I'm not good on Linux and so I appreciate that Turnkey is the easiest way I've ever seen to setup a web server.  Anyway, I want to go a bit further to install the ispCP (http://isp-control.net) to make it even easier to manage websites on my server.

updated appliances

Forum:
Hi there TKL gurus. I would like to have up-to-date appliances, for instance your mantis and redmine appliances are quite old compared to current releases. More in general I would like to know if it's up to the user to update appliances or if you plan to provide more frequent updates. I think what you are doing is great and the HUB is really promising. Keep up the hard work! P.
