Forum:

Not sure if there is something I need to configure but looking at other posts I have gotten this far.

From the webmin panel > system > php configuration > manage /etc/php5/apache2/php.ini

I chnaged under other settings

path to command for sending email to /usr/sbin/sendmail -t -i

Is there something else I need to do? Because no emails have been recieved and no errors either.

Migrating an existing Drupal 6 site

Forum:

Hello,

I am interested to try out Turnkey Linux with Drupal 6. I have an existing site that I would migrate the core files, plus the "sites" and "files" folders and of course the database.

It is unclear to me where the core files in the Turnkey Linux Drupal 6 app install live. I could only find the sites and files folders.

It is also unclear to me what tools I could use to import the MySQL database. Can anyone help me out?

Thanks!

Virtual Hosts with LAMP Appliance

Forum:

Hi All

I recently installed the LAMP appliance, and am trying to create a virtual host. Basically I want to put a few sites in the /var/www/directory, so basically I created a few directories for them in /var/www/ and created virtual hosts pointing to those directories. However, as I use relative addressing in my links (/secure/index.php) it does not seem to be using the document root I specified in the settings, but just using /var/www/ as the document root.

Any ideas on how I solve this?

Thanks

Leon

Help with starting up a wiki

Forum:

Ok...firstly, I am really a beginner. I do not even know what this really is, but if someone can help me with 2 questions I will be really happy.

I was searching for a tool that could help me to in an easy and userfriendly way edit and make accessible a quality handbook for our family company. I have understood that MediaWiki could be a good solution for this, so I tried to download the turnkey-mediawiki download.

Question number 1: am I right when I think that this tool can be used for the purpose described?

Fix for apt-get: Could not resolve 'archive.ubuntu.com'

Forum:

Recently APT-GET started having problems resolving archive.ubuntu.com to install packages.

The fix is easy:

1) Add this to the end of file /etc/hosts

91.189.88.46    archive.ubuntu.com
91.189.88.46    security.ubuntu.com

2) Restart network from the command line:

#/etc/init.d/networking restart

Turnkey Mediawiki on VMWare Server 2 crashed 2 times.

Forum:

I've setup a VMWare Server running the TKMediaWiki.  I installed it about 2 weeks ago.

I gave it 512 MB of RAM, 10 Gigs of HD-SCSI. and 1 NIC.

In the past day or so, I've made some config changes to POSTFIX for Relaying Using SASL AUTH.

During, some testing with the MW website, I had to reboot the machine 2 different times, because it just became unresponsive, via Web page and SSH.

When I rebooted, everything seems to be running normal.

1.  What logs are available for system failures?
