Is it possible to add a "--clone" option to the tklbam-restore script? Basically, this will do everything that the restore normally does minus linking the machine to that specific backup image so that you can then set up the new machine to backup to its own image.
I have been playing with the turnkey WordPress - Blog Publishing Platform and its excellent to.
Would like to know how much the cost would be for a custom build turnkey appliance to do reverse web proxy and email pass-though to individual vm's running group-office from http://wiki4.group-office.com/wiki/Main_Page . I can get a proxy gong with squid but don't know anything about email server configuration and a pass-though is way beyond my knowledge.
I'm using successfully the Turnkey LAMP appliance for a long time now and it's just great.
However, recently I noticed one of my server was short in space. / had 0% free making the MySql server not starting anymore. So I searched a bit and found almost 4GB was used in /etc/.git
since I have absolutely no need in git in this server I just did a rm -rf /etc/.git but still... I'm confused why are we supposed to have git in a LAMP appliance?
How do I change the default port of my OTTRS web server ?
How do I access my OTTRS from the Internet using a "Home-Server" DDNS setup ?
I tried ports.conf, the web config of the virtual machine and wheneaver I change it I lose access to OTTRS. Sometimes I can acces the first screen of OTTRS (htto) . But I can't access https traffic.
I tried the Firewall of Turneky and still have the same problem.
Is that a Firewall problem? A router problem ? A apache problem ? (X) A ottrs problem ?
Hi, A while back I used the AWS user interface to change my instance to a reserved instance ( i had not noticed that option on the turnkey hub menu). Since then I get 2 billings each month. One for roughly $18 from AWS Service charges and a second one from Amazon Payments Application billing for roughly $20.
I had thought that my monthly charge would go down to $18 per month. I am attaching an image that shows the screens for both billings.
It would be great if you can either straighten me out or the billing out :)
I'm just curious why TKL opted to forgo the route of users and user permissions and do everything from the root superuser?
I ask because I'm an aspiring Linux user and when I talk about TKL in Linux channels I get severely repremanded when the exprienced users realize I'm working from the root user. I tend to tell them I don't know enough to debate the matter. It does make sense, but I mean to give TKL the benefit of the doubt. Someone mind helping me understand?
