VM booting to initramfs prompt

Our TKL LAMP  VM lost power, and when the server booted up, it came up a initramfs prompt.  We've tried to reboot it a couple times since then, and it's the same result.  How can I bring it back up like it used to?

Thanks,

Scott

Webmin 1.590

I think I am missing something.

I have tried to add Webmin Modules to an existing TurnKey Linux VM.  When I go through the add Module menu item it takes me to the current repository, which I is 1.63.  My version is 1.59 and these modules do not work.

I have been able to add modules by downloading the entire 1.59 Build and tar and gzipping the required files and renaming it with the appropriate extension.

Are these files maintained somewhere?

Will the new 12.1 release be able to use the 1.63 Modules?  I believe you are using 1.61.

Changing TKLBAM full backup frequency

Forum:

Hi

I'm using TKLBAM successfully on my physical LAMP stack but am having bandwidth issues when it does a full backup.

Does anyone know if there is a way to allow the daily incremental backups to continue but the full monthly backup only run on a Friday?

i.e. even if there are more than 31 incremental backups, dont perform a full backup until the next Friday occurs.

I have had a look at the Python scripts but can't fathom out whats happening!

Many thanks

DNS Question?

Forum:

Hello Everyone,

I have been using the Wordress appliance for a few years with great success. I would now like to streamline my setup a bit. I currently lease a static IP from my ISP for each of my Wordpress sites and forward them to their respective appliance via a router. I would like to cut back on my IP leases to save some money.

Tutorial on Migrating to a local VM?

Is there a step-by-step tutorial for how to pull a working copy of an appliance to a local computer running a VM? So much of this is new to me and I really need the detailed version. I've got vTiger running on Amazon and would like to bring a copy of it, data and configuration, onto my laptop.

Hello,

I am new to Turnkey and OTRS not real great with Linux so not sure how to deal with this.

I just downloaded and deployed the OTRS OVF in my vmWare environment.

After booting it and going though all the initial PW changes I go to the address and then click on the Administration Link.

I then get this.

Not Found

The requested URL /otrs/login.pl was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Webmin and its modules are installed and upgraded via APT

Forum:

My install of TKL LAMP included Webmin 1.590

I did a manual install of Wordpress. (I know there is a pre-built VM for TKL Wordpress but I don't see any reason why I can't run WP on the basic LAMP VM. Plus, WP wasn't my original plan for this development server anyway)

I want to install the ProFTPD module in Webmin, so, I logged into Webmin, selected Webmin > Webmin Configuration > Webmin Modules. Next, I selected the option "Standard module from www.webmin.com" then selected ProFTPD from the list.

Restoring from TKL Backup kills eth1

Forum:

Eesh, spent some time on this one.

Firstly if I restore a joomla VPS it all looks good and I can apt-get update (ie it resolves addresses) but when I reboot it will no.

Confconsole comes up with errors and everything looks set fine, except when I ifconfig it appears eth1 is gone.

eth 0 is there with the private aws IP but no eth1.

Interestingly the webpage loads.

I am not clear on what may be going on here.

Loaded multiple times, tried 64 and 32 but all to no avail.
