I was hoping to get help with a Turnkey MediaWiki install. I was able to get it running over the network in VirtualBox and it is accessible from multiple computers at the IP address it was assigned. I have been reading the Apache documentation, but am still too new to all of this to really know what I am doing.
on each turnkey appliance i use, i've noticed that the mysql root password is never the one i set in the installation. i don't know what it is, but it's not any of the passwords listed on the info pages for the appliance. i've just gotten used to resetting the password through the command line and flushing the permissions. i wasn't sure if this is just happening to me (probably not), or if you guys were even aware of the problem.
I used to use Virtualmin to run my dev server. It has a lot of options available on the web interface, and that was very handy. In preparing a new dev server, I like the Drupal 6 appliance idea. I have it, installed and working fine.
I've just installed Joomla 2009.07 on a Virtualbox (Windows Machine) and everything works smoothly except one thing: I can't access the newly installed system.
I have a PPPoE connection from my ISP and I couldn't configure it under Turnkey Linux (I've tried the pppoeconf command under root and nothing: command not found)
I also tried to change the Settings in Virtualbox to NAT, Bridget Adapter, Internal Network and even the Host-only Adapter but no use: The udhcpc still showing Lease failed: No lease, failing. Failed to bring up eth0.
I use templates from Shape5. They have an option of loading their sql data to mimic their templates. I can load their template and their sql data; however my images don't seem to be showing up. Anyone have any thoughts? I looked at the images directory in Joomla where it points as well as in the templates images directory and they are there.
How can I have a password prompt for a specific directory that is based on the users of the webmin panel?
for example in the folder var/www/internal have it so they ahve to login and if the are a user of the webmin and pass is good allow access to directory.
