I am interested to try out Turnkey Linux with Drupal 6. I have an existing site that I would migrate the core files, plus the "sites" and "files" folders and of course the database.
It is unclear to me where the core files in the Turnkey Linux Drupal 6 app install live. I could only find the sites and files folders.
It is also unclear to me what tools I could use to import the MySQL database. Can anyone help me out?
I recently installed the LAMP appliance, and am trying to create a virtual host. Basically I want to put a few sites in the /var/www/directory, so basically I created a few directories for them in /var/www/ and created virtual hosts pointing to those directories. However, as I use relative addressing in my links (/secure/index.php) it does not seem to be using the document root I specified in the settings, but just using /var/www/ as the document root.
Ok...firstly, I am really a beginner. I do not even know what this really is, but if someone can help me with 2 questions I will be really happy.
I was searching for a tool that could help me to in an easy and userfriendly way edit and make accessible a quality handbook for our family company. I have understood that MediaWiki could be a good solution for this, so I tried to download the turnkey-mediawiki download.
Question number 1: am I right when I think that this tool can be used for the purpose described?
A very serious bug slipped through in the latest release of Joomla 2009.07. One of the installation scripts had broken authentication to the MySQL database which results in this error on installation:
Database Error: Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL
Many thanks to Janadmin who first reported this. There are absolutely no excuses for such a serious bug slipping into a release. We'll be changing our testing process to make sure something like this never happens again.
I just downloaded the lamp appliance and have it running.
Seems to work good. I have multiple people that will be working on a website.
How can I change the permissions so that only certain users will have certain permissions to folders of the website?
I Can create a user and set the home directory to there section of the website but I do not see a section where to set permissions so they only have access to a certain folder.
Hope someone can help. If Iam not clear enough on what I need let me know.
