How to install Axis in Tomcat appliance?

Forum:

Hi everyone.

I'm new to doing web programming and find some of it confusing.  I've downloaded the Tomcat appliance and was able to get that going and have been able to use the webserver and all that without a problem.  Kudos to you guys!  This is good stuff.

Can you Remove File Case Sensetivity?

Forum:

Can you Remove File Case Sensetivity?

I am trying to move to Turnkey LAMP from a Windows IIS Webserver.

But I have a problem with the Files Being Case Senstive. Most of the links will not work because of it.
Windows doesn't care about files and what letters you capitalize and linux does.

Is there away I can get around this by applying a filter or patch or anything in apache / Linux? And if yes how?

Hope someone can help.

Unable to create sitemap with Mediawiki

Forum:

MediaWiki comes with google sitemap generator.  It is a command line utility and located in /usr/share/mediawiki/maintenance

I should be able to run it from the command shell,  by using "php GenerateSitemap.php <sitename>".

However, when I try this all I get is an error "This script must be run from the command line".

Is there any way around this?

Problems starting LAMP app on VMWARE (SOLVED)

Forum:

I just downloaded the latest release of the LAMP app (turnkey-lamp-2009.02-hardy-x86.iso).

Running it in VmWare I the the "ISO LINUX 3.53 Debian-2007-12-11" message, however nothing happens.

Any ideas?

OK. This one is solved, my bad: always check the downloaded file with the signature :) The iso file was basically corrupt, so after download with wget everything was fine.

Joomla Update Overwriting Files

Forum:

The latest joomla auto update (to 1.5.14) replaced all fo my files (and changed the owner and perms). So all of my css files, favicon, etc were reset to their original states.  Luckily, I had it all backed up but I'd like to make sure it doesn't happen next time.  Does this happen with every update?  How can I change it?  Thanks!

edit:

Ok, well, sorry, I figured out part of it at least.  I guess that default templates get updated so all one has to do it rename (or copy, rename, paste) the template folder and pick the new one.

Joomla and SSL logins

Forum:

I downloaded the joomla turnkey install to test against my own install (much thanks for the opportunity!) and I'd like to confirm a behavior on enabling encrypted logins.

If I enable encrypted logins (after enabling the mod_login module) with the JA_Purity template with the logging level for the ssl virtual host set to 'info' I do not see any ssl requests.  In the same configuration with the rhuk_milkyway and beez templates, I get ssl requests but the site does not return to http but remains on https.  I have made no further configuration changes.
