re-run setup for wordpress vm

Forum:
Tags:

Hi,

I would like to re-run the initial setup when the VM is first started. The problem is the VM was installed remotely by another administrator, and they fat-fingered something.  wordpress can't connect to the database, and webmin isn't running. I can log in as root remotely, though.  I'd like to just re-initialize (but don't have physical access to start over again with another vm image so need to do it from the command line).  Is this possible?

turnkey-otrs-12.0-squeeze-x86 - Hilariously, outrageously out of date.

Forum:

The OTRS developers are kind enough to have an update scoreboard available when you first log into OTRS to see what patching needs to be done. This image was supposedly updated August 21, 2012...

Adding packages to a standard MediaWiki installation

Forum:

Hello --

We are looking into setting up a wiki server, and the installation that looks the most promising is the MediaWiki appliance. The excerpt from an e-mail shown below was from one of our group members concerning the appliance:

...the bundled extensions don't include Math and Wiki2LaTeX...if the bundle also lacks the underlying latex utilities that are required by those extensions. Would we be able to add them if they're missing?

Ushahidi - Upgrade version - FTP needed?

Forum:

I've just set up a turnkey ushahidi instance. However it is an old version (v2.3.2) instead of the current version (v2.6.1). I tried to use the automatic ushahidi upgrade function, but it reports that the download failed.

I'm guessing that some form of FTP is required, so I followed instructions here (as mentioned elsewhere on turnkey site): https://help.ubuntu.com/10.04/serverguide/ftp-server.html - and installed vsftpd

ExtendedStatus?

Forum:

Hi,

I wanted to activate extendedstatus on my wordpress alliance so I can monitor what goes on with apache with a monitoring tool. After some reading I get on to trying to do this.

And looking for the right config files I see that there is a /etc/apache2/mods-available/status.conf and the status module is activated.

But it doesn't seem to work. I get a 404 when trying to acces /server-status om my site.

Need some help

Folks I have no clue about this one. I have Turnkey Wordpress installed on an ESXi host. All was going fine and I created quite a bit of content - testing the site as I went along. Now, coming back a day later the site does not display. Rather, I see an "Index of" empty directory listing. I can still get to wp-admin as normal. There were no changes except content via wp-admin. I've ssh'd to the box and the page directory is still intact and all looks fine. Very odd. I'm thinking somehow some permissions got mashed. But, maybe no. And, I'm not sure what to check.

LVM Snapshots out of the Box?

Forum:

Changelog for the CORE says

Guided partitioning of root volume will default to 90% of volume group to support LVM snapshots out of the box.

I am wondering how, in Webmin hopefully, a Snapshot can be saved and if need be, later accessed.

I am assuming this is not a TKLBAM action, but rather a simple action on the Ap/Servers themselves.

I have one VM that is bare metal so I can't do my normal VM snapshots that work quite well.

thanks for any and all help.

Captcha Image Not Displayed

Forum:

Using turnkey-joomla25-12.0-squeeze-x86.iso default install ... next, next ...

Configured Joomla Recaptch module with public/private keys, set Recaptch in user module & global config.

Nothing else is changed.

When registering a new user the ReCaptch image is not displayed. Do exactly the same steps ona  default install at the web host and it is displayed.

Something different in the Turnkey distro?

Any pointers on where to look appreciated, have tried Googling but the changes to the "secure logon" in the php file appear to have already been done.

Dude, where's my backup?

ran a backup before with no problem and it appeared in my hub account

Today, I ran a backup and it does not show up in my hub account.

I only run manual backups, so there are two backups in my hub account from Dec.

The one I ran today, it shows up in the Webmin log, but it isn't available in my hub account

Any ideas?
