Hi there --

I have completed the installation of the LAMP server, and one package that I am hoping to install is the sudo software. I want to be able to have a non-root user be able to run commands. When I entered the command apt-get install sudo, the package could not be found by the system. I have confirmed the system has the ability to access the Internet. 

Do I need to modify the available repositories, and if so, what are the file(s) in question, and what is the correct syntax needed here?

First, I'm embarassingly noviced with Linux, so please accept the ignorant question.

I'm running LAMP on Proxmox VE. I saw a new version of Turnkey came out today and thought, "Huh, what version do I currently have?" I understand it's supposed to update automatically, but I was curious how to check.

I created an account awhile ago with my standard style for username/email address

all was fine. 

Well I hadn't logged in for awhile and had forgetten my password. 

I selected the forgot my password link and now the system no longer recognizes my email address as valid. 

All the emails sent to me from turnkey linux are sent to the address above so it is definitely a valid email address in the system.

A micro instance starts off with a 10 Gb volume.  How can I give an appliance (e.g. WordPress) more space to grow in?

I know I can add a new EBS volume but not sure how to utilize it (not as good with Linux as I could be).  I am assuming it is appliance dependant.

I found articles (or topics) discussing how to limit what is backed up, but how do I restore only a particular folder?

Sorry, but this is sending me crazy.....

I've tried both the RedMine and ProjectPier instances on Amazon S3, but can't for the life of me work out what the default passwords are for Webmin or PHPmyadmin, can someone help me???
(I can log into the app, but not Webmin or PHPmyadmin, accessed through port 12322 or 12321).

When I've installed both locally via VM I'm asked for the passwords at first log in, but not when installed on Amazon.

I have tried the various methods of upgrading phpbb3 from 3.0.8 -> 3.0.9 unsuccessfully. The typical package upgrade results in an error message when trying to access the /install/ page

PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted phpbb3

I then tried TKLBAM, backed up my 3.0.8 system and installed a full 3.0.9 VM. I restored the backup successfully but get an error 500 every time I try to access the login page.

What is the recommended method of upgrading phpbb3?
